When I was younger, I went through an Islamic "phase" as a teenager. Okay I was actually somewhat pious. I would only be able to fit in three prayers, but I would always try to make the morning one.
Something I always had trouble with was praying in public, since there wasn't a single Muslim for atleast a good 10 miles, there was a really, really islamiphobic kid who was always looking for an excuse to try to bully me, so prostrating in prayer didn't really seem like a good idea with him around (he was always around).
So was it okay for me to miss out those prayers? I did everything I could, I talked to the school, tried to persuade them to let me out of class, but they would have none of it.
