Was/am unable to go to any temples as I am still recovering from being sick. Will stay up until midnight tonight and offer water and milk to Shiva and then go to bed. It's about all I can manage at the moment.

I was asleep for almost all of Shivaratri unfortunately. It's hard to really celebrate though, when you don't know any other Hindus in town.

:D FYI, Shivaratri spans Feb. 14 and 15 according to the Hindu lunar calendar. Many people celebrate Shivaratri today. It is still Shivaratri.

Oh! For some reason I thought it ended yesterday because of time zones...

Gonna go celebrate somehow! Om namah shivaya!

We were blessed this year with two nights for Shivaratri. How merciful is Shiva that he would give us two nights to celebrate rather than the single night we usually get?
