Debatable, even if we were to accept the notion that a fetus or embryo is a person.Well, the law DOES save more people than it kills.
But it does say something about your callous attitude toward pregnant people if your reaction to people dying is "meh - we don't need to tweak the law to make it work better."
And exceptions for the life of the pregnant person aren't even about those who the anti-choice movement typically villainizes. These are usually pregnancies that are very much wanted. It's generally heartbreaking for these people to find out that they won't be able to have a baby, followed by panic when they learn that their pregnancy is about to kill them unless there's medical intervention.
This is one issue where anti-choicers have their heads so far up their own asses that they don't realize that they're just kicking people - many of whom are on their side - at the lowest point in their lives. It's despicable. Evil.
