Proof Of The Power Of The Tao!!!

TU I wish you lived near me. You remind me of...

Big post... Let's break this up

Rich people use the Tao to become rich...

The Tao is the 'good' and the 'bad' because it encompasses all.

Rich people become rich by using the Tao because they don't strive to create a need, they fulfill one that is already there.

For instance, government.

Government has power because people feel insecure and desire order and structure to their lives. Government was invented by someone who recognized this and took to the helm.

It is the same with the rich- they see a desire in mankind and they exploit it for profit.

How does this relate to individuals?

Just how government and rich people jump on what's already a need in reality, your spirituality works the same

Kindness and satisfaction work with one another.

They are the reigns by which you can assume control over your life and destiny.

Kindness/Life is hard...

It's not hard.

The intellect short-circuits the ability to be kind.

Look at anything complicated like machinery or something technical , it is easy to become overwhelmed.

However, all complexities are made of simplicities.

All that needs to be done is to break it down to the simple aspects and go through those one at a time.

It is the same thing with kindness.

Of course it is going to be difficult if there is a need to look for motivations or trying forsee future events through actions.

That's what living in the present is about.

Dont attempt to forsee the future, live where you are now.

Be kind NOW and don't worry about anything else.

Keep at it and satisfaction with life will soon follow.

--------------------------------

Of course most people have already heard of the things that I've mentioned so they tend to ignore or filter it out with their mind.

This is a mistake because the Way is simple.

If you have read the Tao Te Ching this is evident, so why strive against it?

-----------------------------------------------

NOTHING is new or original.

If you are looking for something like that, then you are just chasing your tail in a circle.

A friend who criticizes you...

I'm not attacking your character or anything like that. I'm just pointing out the contradiction of your sig's quote with your own philosophy.

This is noteworthy because to be in agreement with one's self, is to be at peace.

=======================================================

LoL, and who is the optimistic one here?

I'm telling you that happiness and kindness are easy and that life is something simple.

I want to say something before I leave this thread. Unknown. You do have a wonderful understanding of Tao. I only say to study zen because I want you to learn more, and have an even more wonderful understanding of Tao. But while that may be true, it may not be as well. For yes, words are just symbols that inaccurately describe what it tries to describe. The stream does not speak about why it flows, nor does it use terms to describe it's flowing. It just flows.

I understand that perhaps you may not be the most personable person on the forums, but your posts are always full of wonderful points. I feel that it is a wonderful bridge between Taoism and Zen bringing the Confucian parts of zen to the back burner, and getting to the heart of Tao. I tell you this not as a master, or an authority. But one who has fervently "studied" Tao for over 10 years.

Please, it is unnecessary for us to squabble over what we think of each other. It is absolutely pointless. Let us embrace P'u and leave these preconcieved notions of each other where they belong. Nowhere.

Nowhere
is somewhere
between here
and there...

I am good to people who are good.
I am also good to people who are not good.
Because Virtue is goodness.

I have faith in people who are faithful.
I also have faith in people who are not faithful.
Because Virtue is faithfulness.

The sage is shy and humble - to the world he seems confusing.
Men look to him and listen.
He behaves like a little child.
