I believe in "God" and all the powers that be. He is the great of all. He is my creator my reason for life with out him I am nothing.

This bible that is held with such high regard by so many is a contradiction of his ability. You argue he is real useing those words. Even, when the blind can see it can not be the way it was done. You try to rationalize his existence with irrational words, do you believe god is crazy?

So I believe in god and accept him. But, I don't believe the bible is real. What proof do you have that it is, other than look it's written. If use that I'll show you other things written. I don't need you trying to prove god. Just this book of magic that you use to make everyone look away so you can hide the truth of life.

Some people need the bible, they enjoy it, it brings their thoughts back to God. It isn't a question for them about acceptance or rejection in the same way as it might be for others, who for example, are content with God already.

Do you feel the bible is restricting you personally?

No, it is leading all of society in to onle one thing. With it's "revelations" anyone that believes it will in turn live it. The end comes as one comes out to offer the answer and give clarity to it all. The bible says anyone that comes with answers is the devil. So when this does happen the church gets to stand up and say, this is the day we were fore told. We all must rise against him after his defeat there will be a thousand years of peace! Everyone will be under the rule of church all will be long to them, they will be law. Until someone finally says enough. And it starts over again.

Read the bible to find comfort, that's fine. I enjoy a good story to, but with my own eyes I can tell what is and isn't real. I can debate against the bible for god. I can't debate for god with the bible. Something is wrong with that!

We Muslim belive that current bibble is not the original one revealed on Prophet Eisa alisalm ,

Quran says in SURAH 3
84: Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes,and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from theirLord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allahdo we bow our will (in Islam)."

Thus, I ask the faithful. Do not defend the actions of god that is for him. He will prove it to each person as they need. But, can you defend your "bible" as the truth and prove it?

The Bible cannot be proven. . .nor disproven.

Believing it is a matter of faith, not proof.

:clap well put but I do believe there are certain things in your scriptures that are incorrect.

As for "God".... there are NO gods that can be "proven" to exist or to not exist. Belief in any god is a matter of faith. Believing in any religious book as being the actual word of a god and is error free is a matter of faith.

Believing in the bible is the proof that religon needs to believe in god! Does god want you to put anyone before him? Doesn't the bible lead Christians to put others before god? (virgin Mary, Jesus). So this faith you speak of what is in? If you just have faith in god with no book where would that lead? Do you have faith without the book?

I don't really understand this thread. What is to be proven? Belief implies acceptance without substantial evidence, i.e. a claim that is not provable.

God cannot be proven, nor can the theological or eschatolical claims within bible. One either believes them, thus taking them at face value, or doesn't.

What kind of proof? Like proof that Babe Ruth actually hit those numbers? On whose authority are they dismissed?

Still not sure what you are talking about exactly. Is it that the bible is in many places contradictory to its own teachings? If so then congratulations, you have pointed out something that many of us have known for a long time. Aside from that I haven't really seen a coherent point made.
