Could someone please offer a sound logical argument that they, or anything for that matter, exists. I'm not looking for philosophy or reason just a well formulated logical argument.

I'm only interested in someone presenting a formal logical argument for existence. No more, no less.I know I exist because I perceive myself. But, perception presupposes existence. So, I guess I can't prove it. But, I'm pretty certain that I do exist. Do you doubt your existence? I don't and I haven't even seen you.

Rene Descartes suggested that in order for a person to doubt themselves, there must be a doubter doubting himself.
I think that's philosophy not logic.Rene Descartes suggested that in order for a person to doubt themselves, there must be a doubter doubting himself.
I think that just makes you a doubter.I doubt, therefore I am?
I doubt, therefore I am?
That's not a formal logical argument. That's all I am looking for.The WHOLE quote is "I doubt. Therefore I think. Therefore, I am."
In order for doubt to exist there must be thought. For thought to take place, there must be existence.
If I worry about my own existence or yours, then I must exist.

Scott

What is the purpose of this thread, some kind of off-track defense of the existence of god?
Flatulo ergo sum. I clear out whole pews, therefore I am.
Then you certainly can't hope to keep up with all the latest slang. My latin is from forty-five years ago, of course.
