It is saddening that nobody on RF has ever addressed the issue of the Donbass genocide.
Nobody but me.
Indeed, accusations of genocide have become one of the hallmarks of this conflict. On the surface, the use of this term may merely seem to be a symptom of strong emotions in eastern Ukraine. But in the former Soviet Union, more than in any other part of the world, the word genocide has been used as a weapon of political rhetoric for more than sixty years. Since its coinage in the 1940s, in popular political vocabulary—if not in international legal circles—the term genocide has been used as a signifier for “ultimate evil.”

It seems from this, Russia has continually been the aggressor and that the current invasion is just a continuation of Russian tactics.
Russia has been supplying military personnel and hardware into this area for years. Also claiming genocide as the justification.

But regarding Zelensky, I'm not sure whether he really misjudged Russia's intentions. It looks to me as if he wanted to keep Ukraine running normally for as long as he could. As far as military preparation goes, it looks as if he and his armed forces were far from being caught napping.
Are you so sure?
I recall news about Ukraine preparing for invasion.

I've never believed what Putin says, any more than I believed what Trump said. The rest of the politicians lie to serve their ends, too, of course, but usually not quite so frequently and completely.
Not all politicians lie all the time. But there is a tell how you can know when they are lying.

I have it on good authority (another poster) that Putin never lies.

Yes...he is an open book to me.
He does anything aboveboard.
When he asked PM Conte to try to convince Trump to lift the sanctions in 2018.
I remind you that this is the way his Government had taken office: we will be trying to lift the sanctions on Russia with a Senate applauding.

@Nimos.
Do you know that finally Italian media are exposing the genocide in Donbas? Committed by Ukrainians?
Started in 2014, in Crimea and in Odessa.
2014: persecution of Russian speaking people in Crimea, and Odessa
2014: the massacre of Odessa. 46 people died.
2016-2022: Russian speaking population harassed and killed in Donbass.
Thanks, Tucker!

I just heard on NPR that the tally of Russian bombings
of Ukrainian hospitals is up to 43. Is this just western
fake news, or is it Putin's idea of "above board" in a
"special military operation"?

I don't know...
So it's possible that Putin is purposely bombing hospitals,
apartment buildings, theaters, & other non-military targets?
....the news of Hunter Biden being on the board of the first Ukrainian gas company is true or fake?
I've not looked into Hunter Biden.
Is he involved in Russia's invasion of Ukraine?
Is he responsible for the invasion?
Is he one of the Nazis?

I know for certain that Soros is in on it.
Since 2014.
Are Biden and Soros strangers to one another?
I dont think so.

I heard of something today that putin apparently did in 2012, which was anti-adoption ban, so that america couldn't adopt orphans in russia. Arguments seem to made that he did this, possibly to somehow defend internal corruption? Explain this

I just heard about it from some arguments of this ceo, called bill browder. He says it has something to do with defending the russian oligarchs back then. I don't know, I still have to read more articles about what he says on this. I guess the argument I heard was that they were then left to the russian state system, which might not be a very good place to end up, probably due to lack of funds. Do you think that orphans are generally better off being adopted, or no?

Generally, yes. But as for this case, I need to read more about it before having an opinion.

He wanted to limit the adoption of Russian children to the countries where the adopting parents can only be heterosexual couples.
