Unfortunately either the article publisher did not format the poll results so that it made any sense or my web browser can't format it correctly. In addition what you posted is what the US thinks not what the world thinks. Do you not think there is a difference between what Americans see and how the rest of the world views the US in terms of being able to influence other countries?
Oops! Thanks for the correction as the article shifted from foreign to domestic, and I didn't catch the change.
So, let me put it this way, and that is the polls I've seen internationally have Obama being more popular overall elsewhere than here, although it varies a lot from country to country. Yes, he has slipped, and much of this has been due to the drone strikes and now his threat to attack Syria.
As for myself, I have long felt he has vastly overused the drone strikes, plus I opposed the surge in Afghanistan and have long felt we needed to get out. I opposed getting into Iraq, believing it to be a big mistake, and even though I supported having some airstrikes against al-Queda targets in Afghanistan, I could not support sending troops there under Bush or leaving them there under Obama. The concept that we could go into either of these countries and create some sort of Jeffersonian democracy was terribly wrong-headed.
Anyhow, thanks for the correction and have a nice weekend.
