No, I do not recall even knowing what batman was until late in my teens.Growing up as a girl did you have barbies?And growing up as a boy did you play with batman toys?
I didn't have too many as a kid, but I obtained well over 100 in my 30s. They started making a new line in which they looked more 'normal', some being shorter, taller, or fatter and being presented as more racially diverse and with many different hair colors and textures. These were the Barbies I'd always wanted, not the pencil thin blondes that were available when I was a kid.

No, i played with the ruins of a roman fort/port. And had a Roman legion as my childhood friends.
Your silica packet avatars remind me of when I was a kid, I found such a packet in a toybox and refused to touch it for, idk, 15 minutes? 30? I thought it was going to explode. It had WARNING written all over it.
They really do make a big stink over nothing, don't they.
This was the Barbie that got me collecting. I was so happy to find her! Finally! One that looked like me! Well, I don't wear denim. So then I bought a second Barbie that had a black skirt and traded them out. And then I just kept collecting..
I have 2 sisters...so...yes..we used to have so many Barbies, collected throughout the years.
I learnt how to sew back then...because we used to create so many clothes for them.

When I was a kid all of the Barbies were very thin, very chesty, and very blonde.
No batmen or barbies. We did have marbles and cap-guns though. Also some more dangerous things - like the bows and arrows we made from canes, and where one ended up in the side of my head - being careless, and not fired at me. We also had train-sets, Meccano, and other stuff I can't remember.

They looked the same during my time, too.

Same here. I became aware of Batman probably when i was 14, when the cartoon started on cartoon network. I collected He-Man action figures when i was a kid.
