First time I heard about Batman I think I was 17-18 years old

I think that would be around 1997/98 (when you were 17/18).
I was probably in 3rd or 4th grade at that time, running away from studies and playing in dirt. lol

Growing up as a girl did you have barbies?And growing up as a boy did you play with batman toys?I played with batman toys growing up.

Growing up as a girl I didn’t like barbies. I wasn’t a big fan of dolls either and so they stopped gifting me with dolls. I was told when I was very young , I had a toy crocodile . I carried it around everywhere and lost it but my mom or dad bought me another one.

After my sister’s Ken doll found out he was anatomically the same as Barbie below the equator I had no time to play. I was too busy providing Ken with counseling.

Had both but was more interested in “action figures.” Batman was quite big when I was a kid thanks to the animated series and the Burton flicks

I suppose being Robin Hood was ethically better than being some Western gunslinger.

@SomeRandom You mean the animated series that came out in the early-mid 90s? I loved that. If only cartoons now were as good as they were back in those days.

Same here. I became aware of Batman probably when i was 14, when the cartoon started on cartoon network. I collected He-Man action figures when i was a kid.

I think I missed out on Batman. He-Man was my guy. Oh and Hercules, but they didn't have action figures for him which was pretty disappointing.
I had at least 3 different He-Man action figures and I had the A-Team Mr. T and the Rocky Mr. T versions of the doll. I actually just found the Rocky version of Mr. T. at my mother's house recently. His boxing gloves were made of some sort of weird plastic that broke down and melted over time, but the rest of him is in great shape!

Sounds like you had a better collection than what i had. Most of them perished under my abuse lol. I still remember pulling and twisting He-Man's legs as a kid, that i almost made him a cripple.

I was completely obsessed.
I'm pretty sure at least one of my He-Man's lost a leg that I tried to glue back on (unsuccessfully).

Dolls scared and still scare me.

Some dolls are scary to me. It depends on the eyes and the smile, which never change.

This was the Barbie that got me collecting. I was so happy to find her!

Now that is a good looking Barbie! The only ones I saw when I was a boy in the 90s were the standard blondes with no curves.

I played with Lego!

I think Legos were the toys that interested me the most. All the things you can make with them!
