Question for believers

I'm praying for the grace to be one in mind, heart, and will with God. It would truly solve these incessant problems, lead to his/her will being done, lead to serving others, lead to not being selfish, and lead to a good life and obedience to God.

Do you think God will grant this grace?

it's tough...I would say the Father, son, and Holy spirit, but I won't say that because I want the question to still be for people who don't believe in the Trinity

Ah I see. You want to be for people who believe in a creator deity.

So Jews, Christians, Muslims, Baha'i, Deist, some Hindu and people like that?

On second thought you could be meaning just people who believe in the Abrahamic god too.

What, exactly, does "to be one in mind, heart, and will with God" mean? And what is stopping you from doing it now?

In Judaism, we hold that humans are created with two natures- yetzer hatov (the good inclination) and yetzer hara (the evil inclination). To completely ignore either one is to reduce what we are as human beings. The trick is to find a balance between the two- to enjoy life and the people around us, but to also strive for holiness and restraint.

Yes, if you are sincere in your desire for God's grace you will receive it when you seek. Why don't you do a word search and look up all the verses in the New Testament with the word "grace" and think and pray about what is being said?

It means I desire what God does and think what God thinks and will what he wills and obey. What stops me from doing that now is blindness and confusion

That doesn't mean he can't transform me into his obedient instrument and servant. In your faith, do you believe the Angels loyal to him obey him at all times?

He could transform my mind into a mind that thinks and desires as His does.

We believe angels have no free will and can only obey.
Thankfully humans do not suffer from that affliction.

And to answer your earlier question now that you've clarified: No, I don't think God would remove your free will, and I certainly wouldn't call having it removed 'grace'.
