Yep. Robbing Peter to pay Paul and the implementation of nanny state "freedom and liberty".Well, it is kind of like watching loved ones slowly being killed by a malignant tumor; those loved ones being Lady Liberty and Lady Justice. The malignant tumor isn't trump - though he is both a symptom and a vector - but rather willful ignorance and intellectual dishonesty.
Some do that, of course. Others actually exercise critical thinking in that they separate the idiotic, braggart, self centered Trump from the policies and accomplishments of his administration. It's quite baffling to me. The hypocrisy drives me spare, and I'm even a conservative.
He was repugnant to me long before I had any inkling of his political leanings. He always came off as a pompous oaf and boorish buffoon to me.He WAS a democrat. He became repugnant to them when he became a Republican.
Hop in.By the democrats ?
Well well you asked.
You got an answer.

WOW!Run as a democrat. Not that I plan to vote for him.
It is about I think for many, the political power of the party. Republicans want to have the political power or at least have the perception of control in the Federal government.
I think a lot of republicans would have prefered to have been represented by someone else. Trump is who they ended up with. So a republican ******* is better than any democrat.
I suspect it is about political control, not about Trump.
Yep, not remotely like tribal republicans during the Obama years
And wow, people look funny when they're upset. Amazing. Maybe a thread you Trumpettes don't want to pull too hard

And here we have the evidence!Funny, isn't it? Just pick a party, and be loyal to whatever that party is up to today. @BSM1 said so, too. Yet, the Republican Party of today is most assuredly not that of Lincoln. And likewise, the Democratic Party of today isn't anything like the one Bobby Kennedy was running for when he gave his magnificent address on the race riots of his day, just two months before he was killed.
It does look so very much to me like knee-jerk reactionism -- "my party right or wrong" -- when I believe in asking the parties vying for my favour to tell me what they're offering by way of policy, leadership and approach.
Trump?
As so often in the past, I give thanks that he's your President, and not my Prime Minister (about whom, even though I'm a Liberal, I have complaints as well).
- More than 12,000 false or misleading statements during fewer than 1,000 days in office
- Insults everybody, and whole nations ("fine people" people on both sides in Charlottesville, "****hole countries
- Said there were “very fine” people on both sides in Charlottesville, accused a judge of Mexican heritage of being unable to do his job, calls African and Caribbean nations “s---hole countries” and wants only immigrants from safely white Norway)
- Racking up deficits liberals could only dream of, but "fiscally irresponsible?" Good heavens, no!
- Prefers dictators to democratic leaders, but surely wouldn't want to become one ("maybe I'll serve more than 8 years!"
- The slams against women (grab 'em by the feline bits), and suggesting Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) would trade sex for campaign contributions, but surely never a “misogynist.”
- Pooh-poohs climate change, even though it's happening
- Mostly not working (on "executive time" or more often the golf course)
- Doesn't read intelligence briefing (or anything, really), but "lazy?" Certainly not!
- He really does offend the rule of law, and he disparages the First Amendment, the separation of powers and the courts at every chance he gets.
- How many incompetent advisors has he hired -- then had to fire? In any competent business, this would be seen as complete lack of managerial acumen.
- Changes policy on a whim, usually on social networks, then reverses himself later, but rest assured, he's neither impulsive nor erratic.
He WAS a democrat. He became repugnant to them when he became a Republican.
Well, if anyone uses this as an excust that Trump is somehow guilty of a crime because there is no evidence that he commited a crime....If "well he hasn't actually been charged with a criminal offense" is the BEST you can say about the man, that's pathetic.
Oh, and SOMEONE HERE ARE NOT GUILTY OF IGNORING THE FACTS, AND DEFINATELY DOES NOT TAKE SIDES!!!!It's all about tribalism. He's now admitted it, despite the desperate, unconvincing and uncoordinated attempt to backpedal away from the initial statement.
I think it's pretty standard for all our resident Trumpettes. The ones that aren't explicit trolls.
They can't defend Trump, they don't even try. It's all about "side".
The only question I have is if they're conscious that they're supporting Trump for purely fallacious reasons, or if the actually think they're ingroup/outgroup nonsense is actually meaningful or convincing to anyone outside the echo chamber?
I THINK THERE ARE SOMETHING LIKE 63 000 000 TRUMP SUPPORTERS WHO VOTED FOR HIM.Jesus Christ. I have no words. I thought the replies couldn't get more pathetic than @shmogie 's. I was wrong. I'm waiting to hear from some Trump supporters who have a shred of decency, since you apparently don't. I believe there are some morally decent Trump supporters, but apparently they are few and far between.
Don't expect them to ever see that givin they're too busy nursing their TDS.I think where you're having trouble is that you believe most Trump supports support the man. When you finally become 'woke' you'll realize that most of us support the policies. Enjoy your ride...
It's her eye that bothers me the most, reminds me of nothing so much as a white sharkThat vein in that top right lady's neck tho.....
