Mainly we read the quran, but there are over 3000 other scriptures we can read, all with different namesWhat are the Sufi scriptures called?
A very easy question.
How do you feel/react if someone from a different faith wishes to read from their Scripture to you? Do you listen with interest or do you ask them to leave you alone?
Personally I have been both stopped on the street, or asked to come to their church or temple to listen to their preaching, and if I can I always say yes to listen to them. And even have a calm discussion on the topic they speak about.

Yes, that's why it also take long time to truly awaken from within, because there is so many aspects of a human being that must be purified to realize the truth of our existenceThat’s a lot of other Scriptures.

If they're not asking any donation money or selling any of their books and simply have the intention of preaching, then i have no problem in listening to what they have to say.
There's one sect in Hinduism (the Hare Krishnas). I find them annoying since they are always asking for donation money and won't leave you alone until you give them something. Once they get to know your home address, they will pop up at your doorstep, asking for more money. Also they disrespect other Hindu sects, which i really don't like.
Other than this, I respect all major religions and believe them to be different paths that takes us towards God or divinity. I have been planning to read scriptures of major religions, but lately my health is not so good. I guess it has to wait for now.
What one calls truth another calls a lie. Ensuing wars are fought in the name of Gods.Yes, that's why it also take long time to truly awaken from within, because there is so many aspects of a human being that must be purified to realize the truth of our existence
I don't tell others what they should or should not believe inWhat one calls truth another calls a lie. Ensuing wars are fought in the name of Gods.
Fundamentally all religions are alike. Yet wars are fought over small differences.Actually, those are on my "Reading List".
There are a couple of books on "Sufism for beginners" that i wish to grab in the future.
I've read before that Sufism has certain things in common with the devotional sect of Hinduism. I don't remember now what they are, but its definitely worth studying.
teadious.Mainly we tead the quran, but there are over 3000 other scriptures we can read, all with different names
Maybe it is to youteadious.
Sometimes that's not enough to avoid a war. Some believe that you are with us or against us....so war is inevitable.I don't tell others what they should or should not believe in
All possibilities avail themselves to those who are open to understanding.Maybe it is to you
Those who start wars would have to answer for that.Sometimes that's not enough to avoid a war. Some believe that you are with us or against us....so war is inevitable.
Many wars were engendered by religions, even if their scriptures spoke of peace.
It depends. If we are having a conversation about their faith, or some other subject where their scriptures are relevant to the issue, I have no problems with it at all. But if you are talking about preaching at me? No, of course I don't like it. It's rude to push religion on people.A very easy question.

teadious.
Wars are fought because of ignorance.Fundamentally all religions are alike. Yet wars are fought over small differences.
It depends upon their intent.
If they want to share something they feel is profound that has impacted their life and are eager to share it with someone, I listen. and if appropriate, discuss.
If their intent is to convince me that I should change my views in accordance with their scripture, I politely decline and tell them I'm quite stable in my views.
Why should anyone do that unless I ask them? It will be an infringement of my rights. However, I already know, in detail, what they might want to say.How do you feel/react if someone from a different faith wishes to read from their Scripture to you? Do you listen with interest or do you ask them to leave you alone?
