Nay...altogether.
If there is no distinction of spirit.....I'm having a discussion with.....what?
A rock?
No, a rock is not a human.
A rock is mostly silicon, and a human is mostly carbon. You would be more accurate saying you are talking to ash. But a human is obviously the answer.
That you are able to respond as you do....indicates spirit.
No it doesn't. It indicates the ability to perform complex processes by the electrical firing of neurones in our brain, which, are made form matter, just like everything you see around you. The sodium and potassium help create these electrical impulses, just like the sodium in table salt.
What you haven't dealt with is the afterlife.
What? Well, you haven't dealt with the parallel universe hypothesis. I don't consider there is an after life. Why should there be?
And as long as you are in denial....
This thread no longer has a point.
Well, this is your opinion, that a thread without god is pointless.
It's not another 'disprove God' thread.
Science just doesn't consider god. I was wondering how many people actually understood evolution. In conclusion, not many at all.
If all you want is a lengthy discourse what you think evolution is about...
why ask believers of God?
Well, you clicked on the thread. I think most people reading would like, what ever is the correct happening (there is only one), to believe as much as possible in what is right. Therefore i feel that my claims of evolution are supported, and justifiable.
Another point is that especially in the US, evolution is not understood very well by the general population. I think this is generally to do with people objections as it contradicts what their faith says.
In my opinion children should be taught the evidence, and how evolution explains what we can see around us. If we let parents completely educate their children (which obviously they have the right to do so), ensuring children are educated correctly, with current knowledge could not happen.
But this is why I object strongly to faith schools (that would have to be another thread).
You're in the wrong church.
I would argue the universe was my church, so no, I'm not.
What even is a church? to you?
