Sure, please go ahead

thank you :)
you know i am Turkish. when i tried to talk about verses, language is always an effective factor. it does not make difference even if i talk to Turkish people. then language of Qur'an appears to be an obstacle to them. when we study verses, we learn meaning of each word. it is word of God therefor i have no doubt each word is significant. i feel like i should mention this, because sometimes Muslims think i am making up stuff. i would never dare to. after talking to people from different countries i came to this conclusion. i had it all along but now i know it is a must for each Muslim to think about verses. they should ask why and they should find answers in Qur'an. not using intellect is pretty much wrong because it is God who invites people to use intellect.

there are many web sites who offer translations. in my country, there are translations as well. all of them have one thing in common. none of them pay attention to words. translations, uınfortunately narrowing the meaning of verse. that is a loss which sad and scary. this verse you shared above is an example for this situation. let me try to show why.

31:33

this is the first page of 31:33. i can't quote cos it is like picture. you see numbers of words there? no3 and no5 are different words. itteku and vahşev. vahşev means fear. the word itteku does not mean fear. it comes from word taqwa. this would be translated as 'have taqwa for Lord'. in ordinary translations they are both translated as 'fear'. 'fear your Lord and fear that day'. i am so sorry that translations of Qur'an let this happen. two different words means two different meanings. so how could they make two become one? i don't mean to offend any Muslims. but we all owe our most beloved one and our God. we owe them to know what Qur'an says.

for anyone who cares, i owe Allah to share this

Fearing God is part of Taqwa

For an English reader who does not understand the meaning of the word taqwa, if the translations says (have taqwa) it would not make sense and would not be understood

The nearest translation is therefore the verb (fear)

O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all.

That's why the Qur'an can never be translated into another language.

What we have are best human efforts for the translation of the meanings of the Qur'an

my friend, this is very serious. Prophet warned Muslims about this.
if God wanted people to fear God then it would say 'fear me'. but that is not what God says. it says have taqwa. it is normal if some people did not know what it means and maybe it is their right to ask what it means. taqwa includes love, respect, admiration, loyalty...yet translators pick up word 'fear' and use it. that is betrayal to God. this is changing meaning of verse and there is no excuse for that.
