I feel like getting a turban and having a go :)
Awesome! Do it! :)

I need to wait for my hair to get like, the tiniest bit longer, and then I should be able to tie a joora. :D

It's getting more difficult to cover it with the rumaal in gurdwaras. It was difficult enough with a head like a watermelon!

I would recommend asking Gursikh. He got me my turbans, kanga, the thing for your beard (even though I won't need it for a while), and two MASSIVE kara. :D
Hi X
Gursikh ji is a great teacher :) Have you any idea how you work out the size of a kara based on your wrist? My guess it is it is a matter of trial and error to find the right one as it needs to slip over the hand, so in general can hang quite loose.

How does it feel wearing the Turban? Is it heavy? Have you tried walking about the house with it on for a few hours?

Sat sri akal Onkarah,

The kara I got is massive, I can easily slip it on and it's very lose but at least it stays on my arm :D However, I would ask Gursikh how measurements work.

Wearing a turban feels ok. It's not heavy at all. I tried walking with on for about an hour or two. Feels like nothing is there, although it did leave my hair flat after I took it off. :D

Oh to add on, if your hair is short, you might want to use an under turban instead of a regular turban since it is shorter (that is what I used in my photos). So, you should get both a turban and an under turban (I personally got saffron and black ones). You will also have to soak your turbans in water for 4-5 hours and then let them dry out. I don't know why but they smelled a bit funky after I soaked them but they are fine now.:D

I hope that isn't too much info :angel2:

Gursikh Ji,
I know you did not ask me the question but the Onkaara Ji's current avatar is known by some to be Ouroboros. His choices in avatars are always of interest to me. I think they say quite a bit about Onkaara Ji.
:p

Hi Gursikh Ji
It does look like a Kara, I hadn't considered that until now. Perhaps there is no coincidence as it is symoblic of unity, where the searcher ends up finding himSelf to be that which he was searching. Could we say "the Sikhi finds the true Guru and merges within". :D

Thanks for your kind offer, I will let you know when I am ready

It's improving, xkatz :) But it still looks a little loose
Hi X
I agree with Mr DeitySlayer ji and Gursikh, it is improving each time :)
I would be tempted to pull it really tight and put it above the ears, like it Gursikh's avatar picture. I would then layer the turban so it goes up in layers overlapping but not on top, a bit like the guy in the picture at this link :)

 But of course i don't really know how to do it and I am no position to teach, but it is fun to see the progress :D

Wow this thread has been dead almost a month lol

Anyways, I tied my turban on again so to say. This time it is actually rather tight, although it lacks the triangular peak, but I am cool with that. :beach:

Anyways here to are pics for now, I may add more later:

LOL, I wouldn't know how to rate it at this point.

Looks better than last time.

You know what you should do, put something fancy like a gemstone in the middle of it. :p
