Real world horror due to MAGA hurricane lies

That's pretty weird. The people themselves living in Florida are saying different.

But I do hope I'm wrong cuz I really do want to see help for Florida folks and I'm not going to politicize the hurricane anymore like a lot of people are doing, if I'm wrong that's a good thing as long as Floridians get the help they need.
Hmmm, like how the residents of Springfield were supposedly saying "they're eating the cats and the dogs?"

I don't know what is strong enough to destroy the evil MAGA Trump cult. But clearly it's so strong that people will suffer and unfortunately lives will be lost. I have to assume that at least a few will turn death threats into actual attacks the cult disease is so strong.

Meteorologists Get Death Threats as Hurricane Milton Conspiracy Theories Thrive

And for a very sad personal consequence:

Emotional North Carolina Man Blames Trump for MAGA Father-in-Law Refusing Hurricane Help Over FEMA Conspiracy: ‘It’s A Cult!’

Anthony told Abrams that his wife’s father believes FEMA is “going to take his house” if he accepts assistance following the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
...
It’s hard to even imagine it. I mean, he lost almost everything, and he’s refusing all help from the federal government and complaining to us that he doesn’t have food, that he doesn’t have the stuff he needs, and yet he won’t accept the help. What the hell are we supposed to do? We’re not in a position to be able to fly across the country and help him. There’s people begging us to get him to accept help and he won’t do it. And I guarantee you, I’m not the only one. I guarantee you I’m not the only one.
...
We’ve sent him all the stuff from the fact checkers. He doesn’t believe it. He thinks it’s all — he just believes Trump, literally, Dan. He just — it’s a cult! He’s a cult member. I’m sorry to say it. He’s a cult member. And he’s my father-in-law and it sucks.

Even sane Republicans have had it:

Republicans in Congress call out hurricane misinformation coming from within their own party

“He just makes it up. So he is able to spew enough disinformation that the Chinese must be smiling,” added Romney. “When it comes to a holiday from the truth, he’s taken the longest vacation.”

Isn't social media great (sarcasm)? I mean, there have always been those kind of nuts out there but now their voice is much more easily magnified.

Then my question is why are they saying they are running low on money and can't sustain another hurricane if it isnt being spent on migrants and or illegals?

Where are the funds?
Excerpted...

  • A steep increase in the number of "billion-dollar disasters" in 2024 made the U.S. Congress' initial $20.26 billion appropriation for FEMA's Disaster Relief Fund insufficient to make it through the hurricane season.
Note also that FEMA's money supply is vastly larger
that what's spent on illegals / migrants...
  • Separately from FEMA's Disaster Relief Fund, Congress allocated $640.9 million for services to noncitizen migrants in 2024. FEMA is the agency charged with distributing this money to nonfederal organizations that help localities with noncitizen migrant arrivals. Contrary to rumor, this does not deplete funds appropriated for disaster relief.

What's the basis for claiming that they lack
accounting of their spending?
What is the quantitative basis for "mostly"?
Well I heard it was massively larger than the money that was allocated for illegals and migrants. There has got to be a figure for that somewhere. What was that? 20.26 billion for disaster relief?

Funding or borrowing?

That is actually a great distinction/question. But ultimately, Congress needs to take care of the business of the American people. So, funding or borrowing, we must take care of each other in such horrible circumstances. Imagine what the money we have flushed down the toilet (Ukraine) could be doing for our brothers and sisters Asheville/Tampa/etc.?

Heard from what source?
Link?

According to Snopes, which has a good record of cromulence.
Have you a better source saying otherwise?

If that had been the case I'm sure we wouldn't be having the debate here and now.

It's incredible the priority made for foreign interests to be willfully overshadowed over our own domestic needs for our own countrymen and women.

You oppose helping Ukrainians defend against Russia's invasion, right?
But you favor helping Israel attack Hamas / Palestinians / Hezbollah / Lebanon, right?

Well it's quite clear those funds are now mostly depleted and nobody can say where all that money went to.
19 Billion dollar weather disasters this year before Helene. Disaster budget for 2024 20.4 billion,
Interesting political map too. God really hates those red states. Or do Democrats have more power than God MTG?
