Maybe you want to use the one on one debate forum, it might be easier to create the scenario you are looking for then. I am not a Christian but Im willing to try and argue from a Christian perspective if you like.

Nah...we all know winning and losing debates on religious matters almost never changes anyone's mind. The most you can do is broaden it a little, which isn't a bad goal.

Good luck to you in your debates, hope you enjoy 'em :)

Scott, you slay me sometimes! Bwahahaha!

For what it's worth, few people are argued into the kingdom... they are loved into it instead.

Just a quick question for you: If you always lose the debates, did you ever think it might be because you are wrong and he is right?
Why would that thought ever cross his mind?

:)

A word of warning.

If you are to set up an open debate in this forums threads our new friend might find himself in deeper than he/she was before.

There are many extrememly intelligent atheists here who just can`t resist threads like that.

In short not only will the theist get aid his friend who already appears to be winning thier debates will gain help as well.

I would say that to debate him the best you can, and dont be afraid to admit it when you re wrong or do not have an answer. Above all, Let him know that God loves him. I know you only asked for one person, but if you would like additional help, im and Cvipertooth @aol.com (email and instant messenger).

Ask the atheist if there is anything in this world that they depend on, like food for instance.
Then ask them what food is for? The stomach
Then ask them what the stomach is for? food
Then ask, how is it that two things ,totally different from one another could also work together?
If this is "by" chance, then " chance" must be the name of God.

I'm willing to help also...but only if you are trying to understand his position and not trying and get quick rejoinders. Canned answers never do anybody much good. For any discussion to make good progress, we have to understand every side of it.

So, if you're just wanting the responses to his arguments, then you're probably going about this wrong. If you're going to argue this so you can understand his side, that could be profitable to both of you, even if neither of you ever changes your minds.

Yeah, that`ll work.

Is this that secret Christian conversion cabal all my atheist friends keep telling me about?

:)

Hi linwood, Dont take some of the things I say to seriously. There are a few dead zones
in my brain that escape on occasion. :jiggy:
