Recent fossil should confirm evolution?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
So recent human fossil remains should confirm evolution, for example fossils from ancient Egyptians or any fossils found from say a few hundred to a few thousand years ago should have evolved enough from present day humans that the differences can be measured?
Your own genome confirms evolution. What you might mean I'm guessing is the transitional fossil.

Since our species appeared, our bodies, brains, teeth, and stature have gotten smaller.

I dont believe a scattering of mutations
such as in every organism born / hatched /
sprouted constitutes evolution.

That requires selection.

Of course selection is involved, the beneficial changes are selected for,
