This is just a quick announcement: recently, someone told me that some of my posts give the impression that I dislike those I disagree with.

I would like to say that I don't dislike anyone here anymore. I have PMed every one of the people I disliked, and we managed to have friendly conversations and break the ice. I may not be friends with everyone, but I definitely don't dislike anyone either.

Thank you for reading. :D

We struggle to make sense of relationships which are text on our screens.
In our natural state we live in small groups, knowing one another intimately.
In our recently constructed postindustrial cage, designed as a wealth generating machine for an invisible tiny minority, all of our natural behaviours have been transmogrified - we are primarily information processors or menial process workers, we have the status of battery hens.

So we necessarily feel very sensitive about these minimalised electronic blips which have replaced the rich tapestry of village life.

It is hard - impossible even - not to take it personally.

I am heartbroken at what we have been transformed into, and also amazed at the resilience of the human spirit, being able to tolerate this global abuse at all.

Hang in there brother.

I think it is okay to dislike, but not hate. I think there is a difference.

What do you think?

Oh, I do get strange non friendly over-protective/defensive replies and I do get the impression the poster is a hater who wants to release their hatred against me in a clever passive aggressive way. I just ignore this kind of people.

You are not one of them. I'm just relating :D

Phhhht...you're just upset I'm not still sig-stalking you.
I think Lou Reed's version nailed it.
From "The Dirty Boulevard" -

Give me your hungry, your tired, your poor I'll **** on 'em
That's what the Statue of Bigotry says
Your poor huddled masses
Let's club 'em to death
And get it over with and just dump 'em on the boulevard
