What are annoyances and small complaints you have about yours, others, or just religion as a topic? If any
Very anecdote heavy thread
I didn't like stress for clothing to a church recently, I am always underdressed in it because it's always fancier than what I own but I went anyway
One day I'll get the right hats and look like a "praise God all the time" lady
In no particular order:
1) People asking me "why did God do this?" or "what is His reason for that?" as if I am God when they can just ask Him for themselves. I think this practice comes from the gossiping termagant nature people have in general, leading them to ask someone about a person rather than ask said person about themselves in many social situations.
2) People asking me to entertain questions about "what if you were God?" which is literally unanswerable and incomprehensible to me and leads me to think we do not at all mean the same thing by the word "God."
3) 19th century German liberal Protestants. Perhaps they are the root of all evil. Frankly, 19th century Germany at all. The only legitimate problem of evil is why God permitted
that to happen. If you know you know, if you don't know you won't know.
4) The exceeding cost of books. The stacking and reading of them has no end. There is always another one which is "essential" to read.
5) Misrepresentations of ideas based on individuals not having read books. This has become more minor for me over time since I resolved to not discuss matters with said individuals on those topics, saves stress.
6) How front-loaded into the morning various practices can be due to peasant time or something. Although learning to live by Sunlight is a fun experience, adjusting hours that way.
7) The feeling of having "left someone hanging" when invoking Saints or praying for others, since one can not keep mentioning names and causes for hours before praying, so they are forced to choose. This follows from me hating to make choices though.
