It could be a dream or vision or something you heard, saw , or felt that was significant to you. It could be a time if any of having a gut feeling about needing to leave somewhere. My mom had that once where something was telling her to get her kids and leave the park right away.I've had lots of religious experiences. She said later on someone else told her a person was in the park trying to kidnap a kid.Did she ever find out why?
And for me, essentially every awe inspiring event I experience I categorize as being religious. This morning it was the sparkling frost on the grass when I went to put the garbage out of the waste disposal truck. I was appropriately appreciative to nature for allowing me to experience the phenomenon.I experienced the sun arise during a blue-sky, mirror calm sea once whilst on a small yacht, and can imagine how those so long ago in the past might have experienced this as being religious, but where it was just an awe inspiring event for me.
