Interesting that the Jain swastika isn't represented. Perhaps it wasn't needed, as Jains aren't likely to join the military, Or perhaps it carried some other, unpleasant associations.
The "farohar" is the name of the symbol. The religion it represents is Zoroastrianism.

The "farohar" is reverse swastika and can be found in Buddhism too.

The Serpent is an ancient symbol used in the ancient pagan religions. The Serpent has always been a sacred and positive symbol - from Ancient Egypt to Africa to Norse Paganism to ancient Hinduism and so on. The Serpent is a symbol of Life, Healing, Justice, Transformation, Godhood, Wisdom, Wealth, etc. The Serpent only dared to be disrespected and slandered with the coming of the Abrahamic religions.

Reverse from what?

The arms of swastika found in Buddhist, Zoroastrian, and other Vedic traditions point in the opposite direction.

The Buddhist Swastika Vs. Nazi Hakenkreuz

The Nazis use the Ura Manji. Actually both are used in Buddhism, but the Omote Manji is less frequently used. The meaning of Omote Manji represents love and mercy. The less frequently used Ura Manji represents strength and intelligence.

If a farohar is a swastika, why is Ahura Mazda in post #9 labled farohar?

It is more a choice of words for the symbols. The word 'Swastika' is a derivative of the Sanskrit 'Swasti' meaning 'good will.' The German word is Hakenkreuz.

The symbol itself should not have a negative connotation, just the corruption of the symbol by Nazis.

Actually I believe the correct depiction of a "farohar" or "faravafar" is the main symbol of Zoroastrian Religion:

Christianity has many... the cross, the fish, the butterfly, the bread and wine of communion, baptism

I also think it is largely word oriented and the words themselves paint spectacular pictures of celebration

see Coming Home - Book 5 of the Psalms
Psalms book 5: Songs for coming home

Many many...

Spectacular pictures of praise like the fireworks like 5 psalms ending psalms the book

or the pictures of obstacles to overcome starting Book 5 of the 'coming home' section of the psalms

That isn't Ahura Mazda. The faravahar represents Good Thoughts, Good Words & Good Actions which is a basic tenet of the Zoroastrian faith. Ahura Mazda is too complex, too vast to be portrayed by a symbol or picture. The closest we can get is fire, and even that is just a metaphor.
