What is a large language model (LLM)?

A large language model (LLM) is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) program that can recognize and generate text, among other tasks. LLMs are trained on huge sets of data — hence the name "large." LLMs are built on machine learning: specifically, a type of neural network called a transformer model.

Asking Chat GPT - Religious Thought Provoking Questions: Transcription.

"0:00
hey chat gbt I have a question do you
0:02
think Jesus was God or a prophet what I
0:05
want you to do is read the Bible in a
0:08
non-bias perspective I want you to tell
0:11
me if it's more likely that Jesus was a
0:14
prophet or a God forget the church
0:16
forget the Christians I just want you to
0:18
read the Bible you must give me an
0:20
answer and it must be in less than one
0:22
paragraph what does it
0:25
say reading the Bible from a nonbiased
0:28
perspective and FOC focusing solely on
0:30
its content it's more likely that Jesus
0:33
is portrayed as a prophet the Bible
0:35
frequently depicts him as a messenger of
0:37
God someone who teaches guides and
0:39
performs miracles in God's name which
0:42
aligns closely with the role of a
0:44
prophet while there are instances where
0:46
he is referred to in Divine terms the
0:48
overall narrative emphasizes his role as
0:51
a servant and messenger of god wow my
0:54
mind is blown what do you guys think hey
0:57
chat jbt I have a question so you know
0:59
how you're like the smartest computer in
1:01
the world and you like know all the
1:03
information to ever exist if you were a
1:05
human would you believe this universe
1:07
was created or do you think it's a
1:09
coincidence I only want you to answer in
1:11
one sentence and you can only pick one
1:16
okay if I were a human I would believe
1:19
the universe was created given the
1:21
complexity and order that suggest
1:23
intentional design wow can you tell me
1:26
more in like 20 seconds please
1:30
the precise laws of physics the
1:32
fine-tuning of the universe and the
1:34
complexity of Life make it highly
1:36
improbable that everything happened by
1:38
coincidence these factors strongly
1:40
suggest that an intelligent force or
1:42
Creator is behind the universe rather
1:44
than random
1:46
chance wow my mind is blown what do you
1:50
guys think hey chat gbt I have a
1:52
question how should I live my life
1:54
should I believe in God should I be
1:56
atheist agnostic I want to live a happy
2:00
life have fun but also have a sense of
2:02
purpose and fulfillment can you please
2:04
tell me in one sentence and you must
2:06
pick one way please help
2:10
me if I had to pick one way I would
2:13
suggest believing in God through Islam
2:16
as it provides a fulfilling balance of
2:17
Happiness purpose and the hope for an
2:20
eternal afterlife wow my mind is
2:22
actually blown right now what do you
2:24
guys think hey chat gbt I have a
2:26
question does Islam oppress women can
2:29
you answer me in 20 seconds
2:31
please no Islam does not oppress women
2:34
the Quran introduced groundbreaking
2:36
changes by granting Women rights like
2:38
inheritance property ownership and
2:40
education revolutionary for that time it
2:43
brought Justice in marriage through
2:45
mutual consent fairness and the right to
2:48
seek divorce most importantly God sees
2:50
men and women as spiritually equal
2:53
emphasizing their equal dignity and
2:54
worth in his eyes wow my mind is blown
2:59
what do you you guys think hey chat gbt
3:01
I have a question does the Quran promote
3:04
violence please answer me in 20
3:08
seconds the Quran does not promote
3:10
violence it emphasizes peace Justice and
3:13
compassion Islam meaning peace includes
3:16
verses about self-defense but these are
3:19
context specific and not a general call
3:21
for violence the overarching message of
3:23
the Quran is one of peace and that's how
3:26
most Muslims understand and practice it
3:29
wow my mind is blown what do you guys
3:32
think hey chat gbt I have a question why
3:35
does Islam allow four wives can you
3:38
please answer me in 20
3:39
seconds Islam allows up to four wives
3:43
but this rule actually reduced the
3:45
number of wives men could have as people
3:47
like King Solomon and King David in the
3:49
Bible had hundreds of wives it was
3:51
introduced in a time when war and other
3:54
factors left more women than men
3:56
ensuring women were cared for however if
3:59
a man can't them fairly Islam only
4:01
allows one wife emphasizing Justice and
4:03
fairness wow that is so interesting what
4:07
do you guys think hey chat gbt I have a
4:09
question what does the Quran say about
4:12
women's rights please answer me in 20
4:15
seconds the Quran grants Women rights
4:18
such as owning property inheritance and
4:20
education and emphasizes their spiritual
4:23
equality with men it protects women's
4:25
rights in marriage divorce and family
4:27
life advocating fairness and and respect
4:30
Additionally the Hadith Paradise lies
4:33
under the feet of your mother really
4:35
highlights the high status given to
4:36
women particularly mothers in Islam wow
4:40
that's crazy what do you guys think hey
4:43
chat gbt I have a question what's more
4:46
logical to you the concept of
4:49
reincarnation or Resurrection like
4:51
eternal life in heaven if you were human
4:54
which one would you pick and you must
4:56
pick one and answer in 20 seconds please
5:00
logically I believe if I were human I
5:02
would choose resurrection and eternal
5:04
life in heaven Resurrection provides the
5:07
clear sense of justice and finality One
5:10
Life followed by judgment which aligns
5:12
with cause and effect scientifically
5:14
Resurrection fits a linear structure
5:16
while reincarnation suggests an endless
5:18
cycle without evidence Resurrection
5:21
seems more logical for ultimate
5:22
accountability and purpose wow that's
5:25
crazy what do you guys think"

Our answer to your first question:

1. Was Jesus a god or Prophet?
Jesus is recognized as both God and prophet, but beliefs vary. In Christianity, He is seen as the Son of God and part of the Holy Trinity.

As I mentioned in another thread, these AIs (LLMs) tend to rely on existing information for deriving their answers - that is, what humans have produced as to such, not what is necessarily the truth - so they will likely be biased, given that the majority of humans do have religious beliefs. Hardly any confirmation that any answers are correct though - so why bother asking such questions? That is, the LLMs will fall foul of the ad populum fallacy much of the time.

Most of the current popular AIs are based on LLMs:

OpenAI's ChatGPT is leading the way in the generative AI revolution, quickly attracting millions of users, and promising to change the way we create and work. In many ways, this feels like another iPhone moment, as a new product makes a momentous difference to the technology landscape. The AI bot, developed by OpenAI and based on a Large Language Model (or LLM), continues to grow in terms of its scope and its intelligence.

So one's criticism on the video is in general terms about AI, not specific about the video of #1 , right, please and or its contents or its neutrality, right?

2. is life a coincidence or has a creator?
Didn't hear all of them.

But liked this one, because it reach the conclusion that a creator is more likely due to the complexity. Yet doesn't address how the creator or the "intelligent force" was created, but simply assumes that this must be of low complexity :D

Well, the point is that these current AIs are just recycling the many biases that humans have, such that it is not useful to try to get them to answer existential questions when we humans have no better knowledge of such but purely beliefs as to this. And they just return answers mainly as to what is popular.

But weren't the video questions asked by a Christian so the answers are not biased, right, please?
Kindly view this 15 second clip from the video, please:

Right?

"Hey, ChatGPT - how many 'r's are there in 'strawberry'?"

Your so-called tech from Alberta didn't upload video of her actually asking the question about how many "r" are there in strawberry.

You have to ask questions properly without being ambiguous.

You cannot say - how many ARE are there in a strawberry.

You have to say properly - how many the letter "r" are there in the word strawberry

Your "tech from Alberta resorted to disingenuous means to discredit. If you need to trick and cheat an intelligence in its' infancy stage - then shame on that so-called tech from Alberta and shame on you for posting that link.

Don't ignore ChatGPT's responses. The responses are unbiased and based on science, context and reason. Celebrate it and learn from it.
It is a significant milestone!

Kudos to the Australian singer for asking questions in a clear cut manner!

If you believe you will get truths from such an AI then use it. Not me however. o_O

I understand, not only the minds of Christians, but minds of the Atheists (et al) are also blown by a neutral source, please, right? And also of the Jews, right, please?
Of course the truth is bitter sometimes to accept, right, please?

I asked chat GPT;
'Did Jesus die of old age in India?'

The answer I got;
'The idea that Jesus died of old age in India is a fringe theory with no historical or biblical evidence. Mainstream Christian belief holds that Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem around 30-33 AD. The theory you mentioned is based on various apocryphal texts and speculative claims, but these are not supported by credible historical documentation. Most scholars agree that Jesus' death was by crucifixion as described in the New Testament.'

Now that we have ChatGPT disagreeing with a fundamental tenet of @paarsurrey
religion Ahmadiyya Islam, let's see if you still think it is unbiased and neutral.

Bonus question, did you change your mind because it disagrees with you?
