Oh good, I'm glad you feel that way.
Relativist, huh? I've learned a new word today, thank you!
You're welcome. We have some rude narrow-minded bigots on here (both theist and anti-theist) but I'm not one of them. I do believe there is an absolute Truth, but it's up to us to find our own way to it (or not, your choice).

I've noticed that! :) I'm very glad you're a more open person. It's fine to believe in a Truth. I personally believe everyone has their own truths and that there isn't a "right" one, but that's just me.
Do you mind if I asked you what about Catholicism made you realize it was the Truth?

Personally, I have studied the world's religions, history and such and I find that Catholicism's claims and Christianity's in general hold up the most. That's my opinion, though. Other than that, it is what my heart and soul are called to. I have rebelled against Christianity and gone seeking after other things, but Christ always calls me back to His Church. It won't let me go, no matter how hard I fight it. It's also the only religion I've experienced God in. No other deity has reached out to me. I won't guess what that might mean, but that's my experience. So that's where I belong.

What convinced you to be religious and BELEIVE in God/Gods/Higher Power ? What convinced you not to follow the heresy of Atheism ?

I am a muslim and I believe in Allah (God).
The Quran taught me to worship Allah (God).

Also ,here's an analogy that God do exist...

What are we breathing everyday?
Oxygen! Can we see the oxygen with our bare naked eyes? No! But why did we believe that oxygen do exist, even if we can't see it? We can't see oxygen but we can feel that oxygen flowing around us.

Same as God, we can't see Him but we can feel his presence.

Have a wonderful day!

I'm so glad you've found a religion that you feel welcome to. You have experienced God? If you don't mind my asking, I'd love for you to tell me about that experience.

took it as being ironic. It could be heresy to many orthodox religions.
Heresy is a wilful distortion of religious doctrine, which is not a question atheism (usually) addresses. (At least in the contexts of Christianity). A Christian who adopts atheistic views would be an apostate rather than a heretic.

Im a transtheist which isn't your typical theist. Its closer to atheism IMO but is a belief in a transcendental reality that has been labeled god and been misinterpreted by those who have not experienced it.

I do not consider my conceptions of the Divine/Reality as incompatible in substance with atheism. I merely use a different language if you will to narrate my experiences and relate to the universe. My narrative is primarily centered in Christian myths, symbols, angels, saints, scriptures, and liturgies because when I am praying, inducing a trance, or working with magic (my experience with magic up to this point is still rather limited and ongoing) these are the symbols that most easily induce those states in me and help me reach out and grasp what I'm seeking. I honor most other deities in the abstract, but they are not my gods.

In my practice to obey God is to perform one's True Will, to align with the inner, higher, or true self, to get in touch with the Atman, to obtain the knowledge and conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel, to become enlightened and realize the illusion of self, to die to self and live to Christ -- I have thought about it in all these ways. They all have their own emphasis, their own conceptions, differences and similarities, and validity. "Thy service is perfect freedom."
