Remarkably complete’ 3.8-million-year-old cranium of human ancestor discovered in Ethiopia

On one hand you cite records of antiquity that show a great difference in life on earth, and on the other hand you ask what evidence we have!

I guess you are referring to the fossil record, that which proves Noah's flood did not occur?

That is evidence for evolution, not magically altering the laws of physics, as your position requires.
Even the differences in climate have natural, reality-based explanations that do not require the whims of a particular deity.

Seems to me the recorded different world of yesterday is evidence.
Of changes in radioactive decay?

Science cannot cover it either way, so no scientific evidence can be used for or against.
:grinning:

That is quite a win-win there. Pity that it is illogical and ludicrous.

I haven't cited anything.
I'm asking you for evidence for your claims. So .... got any? What "recorded different world of yesterday" are you talking about??

Recorded history is a poor record of the past. It is *always* biased by the motivations of the writer to persuade the reader. There are often stories that have been exaggerated to make a better story. And, don't forget, the *purpose* of historical writing in the past was NOT to give an accurate description of events. Instead, the purpose was to give *moral* lessons.

So, between the poor written evidence and the superb physical evidence, I will choose the physical, thank you.

So, are you assuming that the texts that have been preserved say the same thing now as they did in the past? What basis do you have for this assumption? Maybe the texts when they were written spoke about people with ordinary life spans, but because of changing conditions, they *now* say those people had long life spans.

You can only read those texts now, not in the past. So how do you know what they said in the past?

What most creationists don’t understand, that fossilization cannot fully occur with 10,000 years or less.

So if Noah’s flood occurred around 4300-4500 years ago, it is not possible to have fossils of any animals within that timeframe.

When archaeologists find any dead humans during the Neolithic, Bronze Age or Iron Age, they find either skeletal or mummified remains, not fossils, and it would be the same with any animals living within these periods.

Fossils are already hard to come be, and don’t occur frequently, but when they do find them, these fossils tends to be tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands or millions of years old. Meaning, fossilization take very long time to occur.

People, creationists like dad, wouldn’t know or understand this.

Records of antiquity also say that Jupiter throws lightning bolts.

Records of old also say that Thor slayed the Ice Giants.
And I'm not seeing any Ice Giants around, so it must be true.
Hey, at least the records are not so absurdly silly that they say the universe sprung forth from a pepper sized hot soup speck, or that man shared ancestors with a tomato!

You mentioned how humans used to live a long time, what you made that up, or invoked old records!?

??? The fossil record is nip and tuck fitting the bible and the flood. Name any fossils that are not?

Since evolving is a created trait, of course we have evidence for it. So? ZERO to do with the evolution of man from animals or shared ancestry with worms etc etc!

Even the differences in climate have natural, reality-based explanations that do not require the whims of a particular deity.
In other words you can grasp at straws to cook up some explanation based on the present nature. Whooopee do. We can do that for the actual different past also.

Of changes in radioactive decay?
Are you suggesting there was any radioactive decay in Noah's day??? Proof?

Hey, science reads things into physical evidences like rocks also. Why not try to glean some commonalities of life from old records, which has nothing to do with moral lessons, or politics etc? If it is common to record long lifespans for example, we should maybe consider that lives used to be longer. Now exactly how much longer is not the issue. I go with the bible records for that. The lives were specific in length
So, between the poor written evidence and the superb physical evidence, I will choose the physical, thank you.
You will chose the rocks that can't talk back over actual people records, got it. Don't blame you, because you can impose your belief set all over rocks and they don't tell!

Whatever you consider the BEST piece of evidence.
I am not too fussy I like it all! Historical, scientific, such as how the continents separated, the fossil record, etc etc. All the evidence supports my beliefs. Of course when you submerge the evidences in your indoctrination system/religion/beliefs/methodology it can seem to support your position also.

YOU mentioned that. I asked where your evidence was for that claim.
I'm still waiting.
Have you any evidence from science that man at the creation of the world era had lifespans of ANY amount? If so, let's see it. If not, then science is useless and sidelined on the issues.

So, we have Scripture accounts of ancient life. We have some ancient history. Unless you wave these all away, there you go! Now if you do wave these away, fine. You are left with no records and no science that applies! Darkness and ignorance.
