So, .... passing judgment and insuring retribution on your fellow humans is more important to you than their health or well-being. Making sure that those you deem deserving of their suffering get their chance to suffer is the top priority, and forgiveness is out of the question, especially if it involves you having to share some wealth, right?
God, I feel sad for you!
Depends on what you define as a "right".
Certainly, at this time, every person has the right to go to the emergency room and be treated for all healthcare needs. (As I heard the DNC say)
Do you believe that a person has a "right" to smoke all his life and then have the rest of the people pay for all the costs for the cancer it produces?
Or do you believe the companies should have the "right" for him to pay more for his insurance?
Or do you believe that the person who took care of his body doesn't have the "right" to pay less than the one who did whatever he/she wanted to his/her body?
So, please define "right".
Then I'll answer. Being human means that we have the right to screw up. And of course we all will do so. So being human also requires that we be forgiving of ourselves and each other for screwing up, because if we don't we will end up hating everyone and become miserable, and we will make everyone around us miserable, too.No, I'm just asking just where "right" is defined.
By the time one's health becomes an emergency, it's often too late. Not to mention that it's also far more expensive and painful to recover their health. It also tends to break them financially and make them permanent slaves to debt. Letting people get so sick that their lives are endangered is not a reasonable solution. And I'm really surprised that you would suggest it.As I said, anyone, can go to the emergency room and get health treatment. Even if you smoked, did drugs, and mistreated your body. (As stated by the head of the Democratic National Committee in his last interview).
Evangelical Republicans love to complain about the Democratic party's stance on abortion. I often hear them accuse Democrats of being "baby killers." Oh, the irony. The party that believes children should die because their parents aren't rich enough to pay for their healthcare ...
Do you believe a child diagnosed with cancer whose parents can't afford treatment should get treatment? This is not an emergency room scenario.
