Rome lasted for 1000 years or more. Why?
1 it imported people. 2 it naturalized people. 3 representational government. All countries that do these seem to do well. I don't have studies to present, but it seems like some kind of an indicator if not a cause of national stability.
What do other kinds of governments do wrong? They oppose new knowledge, new people and distrust the populace.
