Rev. Wiley Drake Prays for President Obama's Death

OK, how many people are with me on the idea that this guy has pierced several layers of stupid all at once.

He said on a radio show that his continuous imprecatory prayers (requests for some form of damnation on another person) were answered when Dr. George Tiller was murdered, and now he's praying for the death of President Obama. Apparently in the same show he said "if they're muslim, they're no good for this country".

Seriously, is it just me, or this man a mental inferior to sub-average house cats? I realize that many on this forum don't believe that praying is a superstitious act (while I do) but surely most who pray don't think that they have the nerve to try to coax god into destroying another human. Is there anybody that thinks Drakes's actions are acceptable or admirable?

P.S., has it occured to Drake that everybody dies? If the death of another person is proof of the usefulness of prayer to Drake, he's even dumber still.

I think some other religious figures from different faiths should do the same thing as Rev. Drake, but they should randomly choose what day(s) they will pray for Obama's death. And whenever Obama eventually dies they can match who prayed closest to his time of death and finally settle the theological debate of which religion most accurately follows the true God(s) will.

I don't know who this man is. To pray for the President's death is ludicrous and certainly un-Christian. I pray that President Obama will be inspired to do right for my country. My prayer has not yet been answered.

It is neither. The man is an ordained minster preaching the Christian faith. Has a church that is fully recognized by his domination. Has a radio program which is both popular and profitable. Membership and donations to his church have increased since he made this prayer some months ago.

He is now re-negotiating his radio contract and looking to expand the numbers of stations which carry it.

His actions are Christian and clever and profitable. Nothing ludicrous about it.

Drake has repented and now prays that Obama lives long enough to be convicted of treason.
