Don't go there...C1, lol..

So did I. All I remember is Feathers in Hair wearing a santa hat.
ROFL!!:biglaugh:

Mine is all hazy. I just remember some reading people's auras on the posts...how that is possible, I've no clue.

I had my aura read once.

RED AURA COLOR: Relates to the physical body, hart or circulation. The densest color, it creates the most friction. Friction attracts or repels; money worries or obsessions; anger or unforgiveness; anxiety or nervousness

I got a reddy browny color. Repels, money worries, anger, anxiety and nervousness all apply to me:) so I guess tha tis right.

Back on topic. Since being here at RF I think I will go and get another aura.

I think you should. Aura colors change all the time.

However, what I meant by it not being possible was reading someone's aura over a computer screen.

Yeah, I think about it too. There are lots of fun little tidbits to read (I have particularly enjoyed reading the forums of the other faiths, even though I won't post there).

Often, I'll mention something posted here in order to either elicit laughs or get a good in-person debate going.

Why won't you post in forums of other faiths No*s?

Because I'm not part of those faiths, and it's a matter of respect.

The way I interpret things, those boards are there for members of certain faiths to interact, and well, I can't interact as a member of the faith.

Most things I would think of are either explicitly stated or may be seen implicitly through other people's posts. Very rarely do I have a question that would remain unanswered.

So would you take it as me being disrespectful, as a Pagan, to post on Christianity threads, although I've studied it extensively and often know what I'm talking about with regards to it?

That depends on what you do.

If, for instance, you posted and pointed out what you believed the Christian understanding of a given thing was, then I wouldn't find that disrespectful. If you tried to argue against a certain belief, or create a newer more modern belief (by melding Pagan and Christian, or Christian and Islamic beliefs), then yes, that would seem disrespectful to me, and the line is often grey.

I look at my actions like that, because I'm very argumenative and easy to goad into one, though I wouldn't try to create a new one (I'm quite traditional in that respect). If I posted, there's pretty good odds, I'd get into a debate. Those boards aren't the place for those.

I don't expect other people to operate under the same rules I do (and there are places where I'm less strict than others would be), so no, in general, I'm not going to find other people's actions disrespectful that often for that.

I would never try to create a newer belief by melding my and Christian beliefs. I am quite happy with my beliefs and I know that Christians, or Muslims, etc are quite happy with theirs. I am able to discuss Christianity and what I think certain things mean without a debate or without mocking others because I know what it feels like when people mock me and try to convert me.

I come here not only to speak to others of my beliefs, but to speak with others of ALL religious paths because I think it interesting to compare beliefs with others of differing faiths and to discuss said beliefs.

However, I do completely get where you're coming from.

The impact RF is that, it helped me to change to atheism and I consisently think about the people that posted in my day. Thanks Rex for building this forum. Thanks everyone who's atheist or not. You are special in my heart....
Apparently there is something for everyone because my experience is just the opposite. I find that my faith has been reinforced and grown stronger due to the input from atheist and believer alike.

If I haven't said yet that I appreciate all of you, then let me do so now. Your responses challenge me to really think about what I believe and why. I've tried getting involved on more obviously Christian boards but find them very restrictive since most debates are restricted to semantics and heaven forbid you mention the "H" word.

It is interesting to read other perspectives, whether I agree with them or not. Cicero once said, "He who does not know both sides, does not know either side." That's one way RF can certainly factor into broader life (I kind of wish that there were a couple of Zoroastrians posting on their forum, but alas, it's silent).

You know you are addicted to RF when....
you start explaining to family and friends about all the great moments and responses that you received and they just don't understand your enthusiasm.

I too have fallen for Rf. It truly feels like a family gathering, and I can't wait sometimes to come home and see how everyone is doing. I have had many interesting PM's sent to me also. I have been enlightened in every thing from religious beliefs to food recipes. Not to mention the fun at the RF christmas party. I have mentioned RF to my friends many times.
All in all I am very happy to know you all. Blessings to all.:woohoo:

Joyfully,
Martha
