Religious Forums helped to contribute to one of the funnest years I've had in my life. Seriously.
I joined RF because of doubts regarding my Christian beliefs and discussions over the course of that first year helped me decide that those beliefs were no longer relevant with my changing mindset. Along the way, I had about as much fun as I imagine you can have with an online community and made a few long standing friendships too. I've come and gone a few times but always come back with the hope of resurrecting the ambience of those good times.

Well, i've been here since 2009. It's hard to believe how different my views are since then. I can read my posts from back then and they really might as well be from somebody else they seem so different. In fact, I'd say they were by somebody else; I don't even identify with those posts.
I look at old threads and remember the old people who used to be here and I realize how much RF has changed. It's so gradual, you don't necessarily notice it until you look way back.

Hey, just out of interest...
Do you think RF played any role in that change? Or is it life (generally) that's changed you, and that's then reflected in your posting?

Good question.
I think it's a little of both. Though mostly I think the change in me has reflected itself in my posts, discussion and debate here has really helped me work through different ideas and thus contribute to that change. I have been able to bounce thoughts off other people and get perspective and advice.
Just to provide perspective: I was an open-minded Christian when I first joined
