If you are a writer, you already know how to play.Yeah, I'm just worried I have no clue what I'm doing and it would screw others up. I have no real idea how to make a character like that or play like that. I have a few friends that play those sorts of games...but with me...you're looking at a writer and a video gamer. I can write a nice story and I can kick your butt with my toons and I can make really good dishes on the Simsbut when it comes to games like D&D and The Gathering and the like...not a clue.
You just write your characters part in response to the prompts that I and other characters give you.
You won't have to worry about screwing other people up. At least not accidentally, you have to really work at it.

I noticed that not a lot of people have posted characters yet so it doesn't appear to be completely jelled. If I do this, are we just playing townsfolk or can I be a centaur? Because a young female centaur with potent healing magic and great archery skills sounds pretty alluring to me. She wouldn't be very strong and not that good at hand to hand combat, but agile and able to dodge and kite well. Perhaps intelligent, but a bit naive and too trusting. Soft-hearted but fierce when needs to be. High protective instincts. I don't know much about ratings and such, but does this at least sound like a good character description enough to try to participate? And are the townsfolk and centaur out and out enemies or distrustful of each other or what? Would a centaur go into the town at all? What's the backdrop for this relationship?

The townsfolk won't be overtly hostile, though some cattlemen and railmen might be.
I'll PM you with my ideas for the centaurs.

Character description: Akane Kita is an immigrant from the far east. She moved here at the age of 23 and made friends with a thief named Todd Jensen. Jensen taught her how to move quietly to add to her more than competent combat abilities. In the 5 years he trained her he saved her life more than once and owes him because of it. She then returned to Japan where she continued her assassin work but has returned to the west in search of business and to return a few favours in the process.
Character look: Akane wears a hooded cloak and a bandana around her face so that only her nose and mouth are covered. She has long black hair and black eyes.
Current age: 32
Goals: Simply, make lots of money and become the best killer the west has ever seen. She aspires to nothing less
