Okay, there was this big RF cruise with just everyone from RF on the cruiseship. There's an explosion in the engine room and now the ship is going down. You hop on a lifeboat which only has room for 6 people total.

You're going to be stuck on a deserted island for a month. What 5 members of RF would you like to have with you and why? Survival skills? Good conversation? Enjoy a good debate? Someone to share things with religiously? Friends IRL?

This can be very hard because there's just so many great people here to choose from and you don't want to disappoint anyone by not choosing them, but still trying to be at least somewhat practical about this :p . Oh, and only 5 ;) Remember, you were on a small lifeboat that only had room for 6 people. (and don't worry, there were enough lifeboats for everyone...just not everyone landed on the same tiny island)

For me... (not too much basing on survival skills because I know I have good ones myself ;) )

Turk179 - you know I'd have to have my honey ;)

9-10s Penguin - I just have the feeling we'd get along and think on the same wavelength as it seems we're on the same page a lot of the time.

Jeremy Mason - Because of his cooking ability...and though stranded, I'm sure no matter what we'd find he could make it taste good.

storm - strong independent woman like myself that I'm sure would have no issue showing the guys that women can rough it like champs as well. need a sister in the wilderness ;)

Azakel - To have a spiritual buddy.

OK - I'll name six people BASED ON WHAT I PERCEIVE AS THEIR SKILL SET - not necessarily my favorite people here, but I think they'd up the group's chances of survival:

Katzpur - because she's a natural peacemaker, upbeat, wise and seems energetic

Caladan - because he's an adventurer and has probably taken a few outdoor survival courses

Autodidact - because though she's tough, she's also reasonable and I think she'd be a good team player - and NOT a whiner!

Reverend Rick - because of his depth of life experience and his level headed sense of right, wrong - and what to be indifferent about

Kai - another tough guy like Rev, with a positive attitude and a sly sense of humor

Dallas Apple - hey, we need one or two domestic goddesses on the island so we can pimp it up. They'll find us twenty years later and we'll have running water and window boxes full of flowers.

MSizer - I'm hoping he knows a thing or two about plants. "Hey, can we eat this or not?" Besides that, he won't eat my flesh if I die.

Neo Logic - young, strong, smart - gotta have one of them around. Those sorts are ever so useful in a pinch!

Hey, wait, I named more than six. But...in a situation like this, we need a few spares.

See, I didn't really know that about him, else I might have picked him and had a good excuse for picking him aside from...I think he's hot. :eek::D

I'd probably take Atotalstranger, Dust1n, Satans_Serrated_Edge, Mestemia and The_Voice_of_Reason.

I'd also take Man_of_Faith, but only for fish bait and entertainment.

The above sounds like "The Villians" tribe so if I could also fill a boat with "The Heros" too, it would probably be Msizer, Autodidact, Copernicus, Smoke, England_my_lionheart and Challupa.

What a party it would be... not enough women, but we'd sail to an island of blond Amazons to befriend.

Draka, Autodidact, Mestemia, Dallas Apple, Quagmire. Why you ask? Because from the looks of my frubal count I'm either fish food or the first cannibal entrie. Hopefully loving my enemies will pay off when I meet up with the Big guy in the sky. It would appear that I would be going there very soon regardless of who I take.

Draka, if you have good survival skills I'll take you. Monta and Nepenthe for comic relief and intellectual stimulation, Auto to establish a desert island government, and Reverend Rick so that we have somebody to pick on (it'll keep us from turning against each other). I'd like to squeeze Sunstone on there too, so we will all have to take turns jumping out and kicking our legs like a human propeller.

hmm...i don't know what i'd do but i'd have two options. so depending on my mood that day or night, i would either take Dust1n alone with me cos i need my space everywhere or i would stay in the ship and let 6 go without me and i don't mind who

Since I wouldn't have a whole heck of a lot of time to decide, I'll just go with gut instinct here:

I reckon a group needs a balance of folks who can be flexible enough to be pure grit as well as be extremely tolerant and peaceful. And, I'd be a really crappy sister if I didn't mention my brother.

Scuba Pete as I asume he knows all about water.
Master Virgil, knowledge about nature and the arts to fight when in danger.
Mystic as we will need a woman to build up society again..

Quaxotic: because he is the only one that wants me to live

For anyone else I would have to stick to the original answer though. Depends who has more meat on their bones. :drool:
