RFK Jr. and the media reluctant to cover his candidacy

It's us conspiracy theorists who believe that it's always a conspiracy: they are scared by the idea that Kennedy may win the presidential election.
But I believe these élites and Deep State are suicidal:
the more they do anything to cover up, to deceive and to boycott, the more the people will side against them.

I don't know how easy it is to cover anything up, at least when someone is out there and in the public eye as a political candidate anyway. Any given media outlet can, of course, minimize or deny giving anyone coverage, but it's a lot more difficult to do that in the internet age. Too many outlets, and for whatever reason, some articles/videos can "go viral."

If there's a conspiracy to cover up or deceive in order to control or manipulate public opinion, then it would first become necessary to establish that public opinion is manipulable and controllable to begin with. If the media have a role in this, then the general view I've heard is that the media are just interested in selling their product and will do whatever it takes to gain the public's attention. They're merely "giving the people what they want," as the line often goes.

But are they actually giving the people what they want, or are they telling them what they want - or telling them what they should want?

I appreciate honesty. If they think he's a politician who doesn't deserve coverage, they should say it openly.
