Ritual Talmudic Dance in Jordan Stirs Controversy

I hate that van. You know how many times I walk down the street in ultra-Orthodox parts of Jerusalem and I have to hear that guy blasting his cheesy trance and rap about Rabbi Nachman. Do you think this is the type of music we want to hear? It is not. They're a lesson in "how to pretend we are making everyone happy, when we are really just trying to get attention."
I see we have a very similar way of thinking.
Too many of these ''hasidim'' like to think that they are chozrim bitshuva, but have really missed the point.

Chabad is, well, the black sheep of the Chassidic family. Look at a picture of a Chassid from every single other Chassidic sect. Now look at a Chabadnik. You should be able to spot some differences pretty quickly.
There's a joke that people tell in my synagogue to the Chabadnikim. "Chabad is the religion closest to Judaism" :p

I'm just overjoyed that dancing in this manner is seen as an act of rebellion and of celebration. That it can be a radical act and can evoke such a disparity in emotional responses from the observers.

Some are angered beyond the pale. Some want to give the dancers high fives. Some want to join in. Some are clutching their pearls, shaking their heads, and tsk-tsk-tsking behind tradition.

For greater effect, I'd suggest to them to conduct a flash mob.

I'm, like, BEAMING right now. :D

Jews in Jordan, jue a joyful jig. Jordanians respond with calls to end Jewish pig occupation of Israel.

I mean. I'm not going to say it couldn't be construed as provocative. But those guys are nuts. They stop in the middle of the street and unload 35 guys out of a minivan and start dancing all the time in Israel.
Provocative? It might ruffle me if I was trying to read me book while waiting for a plane, but otherwise I'd probably be cheering them on. Am I missing something?

Well there was a poster here who admited that it was distasteful in his/her opinion.

Asked twice still no elaboration
