It wasn't so much being a cigar smoker, but his bad attitude on smoking in general. I guess he was pro cigarettes and its smoke.

I can't bring myself to say the world will be a worse place when he is gone. Though death from lung cancer is by all accounts not one of the better ways to die and so I hope he does not suffer unduly.

My younger sister died from lung cancer. Smoked everyday since she was 16. Mother is 80. Smoked everyday since she was 21. Still alive, still smoking. They say it's like playing Russian Roulette. Only 1 in 10 smokers get lung cancer.

It kind of reminds me of Morton Downey jr.

He admitted the cigarettes did massive damage to himself prior to his death.

We just don't know if cigars were the cause or not for Rush. it's up to him I guess if he wants to mention more details.

I mean look at George Burns if you remember the name. He massively smoked and lived well into his 90s.
