I've known some wonderful Muslims, but nobody who isn't Muslim likes the prospect of one of the largest countries on earth, and one with nuclear weapons at that, becoming a Muslim-majority country. I'd feel the same if they were headed toward becoming a Baptist-majority country.

well i forgot what contraception was (can you please explain it in simple terms) but yes they both are forbiden in islam, in islam from the very first moment that a child is formed inside the woumb then you have no right to take its life away, it is a child, whether you kill that child or whether you kill someone on the street it's the same thing, both are humans and you have no right to harm them.

Both contraceptives (birth control) and abortion are allowed in Islam.

Abortion is allowed only in the first trimester, it depends on the school of thought, it can be up to 40 or 120 days after conception- though it is always allowed if the mother's life is in danger because of the pregnancy (because the woman is the source of life and the fetus is only potential life) or in cases of rape.

Allah is the most forgiving and the most merciful. No person can say that someone, Muslim or nonMuslim, is going to hell or to heaven. The decision is up to Allah.
