I do know! I heard they used to tie a rope to the priests ankle and put a bell on him so if anything happened they could pull him out because no one would go in? Is that true?Booko said:You might also find it interesting to find out what the holy day of Yom Kippur is all about.

Now this is pointed at me!Booko said:I was thinking more about reflecting on the past year and how you had harmed someone, trying to make amends and asking for mechilah (forgiveness) and that sort of thing.
imo it's a very good thing to have a regular period of reflection and asking for forgiveness like this, because it helps to keep one mindful about the mistakes we have made and what can be done to make up for them. Sometimes you can't make amends to the person you've wronged, but you can do charitable acts in their name at least.
Abram said:You should read the last 10 posts. Its been made real clear that I messed up, and was wrong about the temple. So I'm human and make mistakes, oh well, live and learn.
I do agree with this. I strugle with this more then any post could explain... I'm always going to far...Booko said:You might find you have a little problem with proselytizing to Jews though. To say they don't appreciate it would be an understatement. An exchange of ideas, that's another thing altogether.

The Jews are right, the Bible specificly says only sacrifice in a temple he choose. This thread is going the wrong direction.
