Even though that perfectly fits my description of what I’m looking for, when I first saw it, it didn’t feel like what I was looking for. Now I see that it is, and I would like to have some discussion with you about it, if you’re volunteering for it.
Yes. Certainly. I am happy to discuss. :)

Can you give me an outline of what you're doing personally, in the developing world context, about climatic and ecological damage?
I am a young research scientist. I am currently testing what are called second generation biofuels (based on agricultural residues) in diesel engines in the hope that they can partly or fully replace fossil fuel based diesel in transportation. Its part of the effort being made in India to reduce GHG emissions so that we can keep our end of the promises made in the Paris Agreement.
I am also looking at a research project to convert waste plastic to high quality fuel. That way waste plastic can be directly used in energy industry without escaping to and polluting the ecosystem.
If my research shows promise, I might try to get commercial refineries to adopt the technology in their industries. But now its in the starting stage and that is still far away.
But during my PhD and PostDoc I also worked at a big project in US that resulted in a new set of certification standards being issued for bio-based jet fuels by ASTM. So if you ever fly in a plane that runs on a biofuel blend, then I had a small little part in making that happen.

I do feel most people here only want to, discredit others and defend their beliefs.
I don't know if it's most people or not, but I do see a lot of that.
I feel the whole world has gone mad this way, whether it be religion, politics, environment, crime, parenting, or any endless list of things, if you do not believe as 'I' do, it is usually the end of the conversation and getting to know each other.
Yes, I see that too.
When I was young and in school, I was taught we were the melting pot of the world and that is what made the US great; all the different ideas cultures and customs. We were to embrace and accept those different ideas as every culture has its strengths and weaknesses. With all the different cultures in the US, one culture would fill in the weakness of another.
I remember that too.
I feel we need to accept each other and treat everyone with love and respect. If we do that on a personal level it may help in our personal world. If we can get others to do the same, I feel the world may be just a little better. If we could get world leaders to love and respect each county and its people, I think the world would be a better place. I just do not feel it is possible as there is to much pride in the world. So I can just do what I can do.
I'd like to know more about what you do, if you'd like to tell me.

I like that story. Thanks for posting it!

The time might not be so far away when sweeping, vilifying generalizations about people’s ideologies are discredited as widely and thoroughly as national and racial prejudices.
