This argument makes no sense whatsoever. The whole point is that gay people should have the right to get married if they want to, and saying "Well, only a minority of gay couples want to get married, so we should only legalize it for lesbian couples" is as ridiculous as saying "Well, only a minority of black men want to vote, so we should only allow black women to vote."

Seriously, how do you not see the complete lack of logic in this position?

That's simple.
All the above..... are people. And when people fall in love, regardless of who they are, they should have the right to marry, because this makes each other FIRST relative to each other, before all others....... which means:-

They get 1st relative recognition as hospital visitors.
They get 1st relative protection on the death of their spouse.
They can get pension recognition on the death of their spouse.
........... do I have to continue?

Honey I may be lesbian but I have male gay friends also. It would be discriminatory to only allow it for lesbians, I could not support that. Why not just allow it for all LGBT and then people can decide themselves if they want to get married or not.

Agreed. Gender identity and sexual orientation are two separate things. You can be trans and gay, trans and straight, trans and bi, trans and pansexual, trans and asexual, etc.
