They also could have polygamous marriages -- and bound concubines. We cannot. They could have slaves. We cannot.
Sorry! i fergot 'bout Arkansas!Speak fer yerself.
That's exactly what I have pointed out too. However, Christians just don't seem to understand that. They would much rather cling to their beliefs which seem to justify their bias and prejudices.Romans 2:1. In Romans 1:25ff it is written, that homosexuality is condmned. But this is NOT TRUE. Cause "NATURAL" (Physin) and "UNNATURAL" Doesn't mean the stuff fundamentalists believe.
This veerses are about the homosexuality of straight people, which you can se if you read the whole paragraph.
A lifelong connittment to sin violates Christ. Jesus can't be joined to sin because He is holy and we are called to be Holy as He is. A church united in sin is not a church of God.
A homosexual relationship demeans itself. No amount of church whitewashing will remove that crimson stain.
This kind of thing would be hilarious if people like you didn't cause so much real harm in the world. Your religion makes you a bad person in a way that no relationship between consenting adults ever could. You have a lifelong commitment to bigotry and stupidity. You are unable to think things through logically because you can't muster the wit or the compassion to even begin to see through the hate and hypocrisy that your religion teaches. If there were a Christ who required those joined to him to be holy, you wouldn't have the faintest chance of being joined to him. Your religion has rendered you morally incompetent, and has made you feel that your moral incompetence is a great virtue. I should probably feel sorry for you, but I don't. Religion, unlike sexual orientation, is a choice.
It also flies in the face of the message of Matthew's gospel, which is: there is both good and bad in the Church, and it's not real easy to tell which is which. Let go of judgment and let God deal with the bad stuff as God wills. It's really sad that homosexuals get singled out because of Romans 1.
The entire point of Romans is to demonstrate that both Jews and Gentiles had a law from God -- the Jews had the written law and the Gentiles had the "law written on their hearts." Both Jews and Gentiles rejected God, unable or unwilling to follow God, so are in need of Jesus.
