Satan in Popular Culture

As far as Satan in culture, I know he and metal go together quite nicely. But, that has been around much longer than groups such as Dimmu Borgir. There are also alot of anti-religion/Christianity groups that do not have any Satanic messages, such as Lamb of God.
Slayer has been performing bloodthirsty Satanic songs for at least two generations of audiences, and will hopefully last for a third and fourth, and maybe fifth.

Still works for God? Interesting how so? Is he like a prison-warden so to speak, dealing with those who disobey the will of God?
I suppose the satanic bible does claim to be God's best friend, keeping him in business all this time

I prefer to think of him as God's version of Blackwater, doing all the messy business that needs to get done, on a contract basis.

Feel at first Satan wasn't a name like a lot a people think now. It was a title that one of the Angels held, don't know which one though. For him he is not the enemy of God, or even the enemy of humans, just the one the gives the tests.

I think that it is something in big cities. I say thing because here in South Carolina, it seems that I'm the only Satanist in the city with baptists swarming like flies on a lump of ****. Maybe the big cities like New York are different.

It seems so, cities hold all walks of life. Its still concerning to see small children praising satan with no real concept of what he is or what he stands for

Brainwashing? Really, no more brainwashing then you God does with his religion telling people that all who don't follow him are evil. And before you go around calling Satanism and Witchcraft a Cult or anything evil and the likes go and read and learn more about it. Oh and who's to say that those thing turn people away from god, and since this is in the LHP(Satanism) part of the forum, who cares about or god?

All relgions were once cults, look up early Christianity around the time of Constantine I.

Brainwashing is your god telling everyone that satan is evil, comming to my house and telling me i must accept god, and trying to control what we do and see. Since this is the LHP section, i think i'm allowed to say that if anything, its your god that is evil, consider the rules he forces upon you. Then read the rules of satanism, we're pretty much allowed to do as we please.
I encourage you to read the satanic bible, you may dismiss it, but at least its 1 more person who can actually criticise and know what theý're criticising, rather than critisining because god told them too.

And in a place strong in preaching nonsense come to think? It is what you can do as the Satanist who walks among the masses unnoticed yet full of possibilities we move best behind the scenes. I have been in that area and know that it is full of zombies and more zombies.

Too often i hear "Hail Satan" and "f*** God." Is this common in other areas of the world as well? Is "Satan" now part of popular culture, making the religious side of what "satan" is less repspectable and more of a teenage rebel cult? Why just satanism, is Satan the only target for rebelious teens?

Rereading this post, I am guilty of that exact thing. Only for me, it's an issue pride of letting people know that I will not be submissive to God. And while I share the same views of the government, God and Satan are just easier to use as an example, and can push more buttons.

My view on Satan is but the King of the world the great Prince of Darkness!!

A certan sense of self-containment comes to mind. And perhaps more than even these characteristics noblity implies courtesy self control and politeness. I have no need to use the F...word.

Satan represents the ultimate in street smarts of understanding and following the real rules of life and not being caught up in the BS!!

I view Satan in popular society as a sponser of all creative human productions from good music and food to civilization itself.

Just some thoughts!
