Satan Taunts Me.

Lately I have made a major life choice. It involves my destiny. Now Satan taunts me about this. It wasn't immediately apparent, but I finally realized he or it was instilling fear, and trying to damage my self-sonfidence. I am now fighting with this fear, while my heart aches with anticipation of this life-choice. If you want to know what this choice...wait..not choice, DESTINY. Anyways, if you want to know of my destiny, visit http://www.geocities.com/dagothincarnate_xaero/index.html. You may not understand why I'm doing this, but atleast read it with an open mind. Satan tries to convince me that this isn't going to happen, that this is pure folly. That is the only thing he can do.

Ya know, perhaps you want to consider how you're gonna react if the object of your affection 'calls you a stalker' and goes for an AVO.
I was wildly infatuated with an Australian singer when I was 15. You know what? I got over it. Then, when I met the guy through a mutual friend when I was 21 he was as dull as dishwater. The difference between reality and FANTASY.
Of course, it all could work out for you...Katie Holmes has wanted to marry Tom Cruise since she saw him in Top Gun - when she was 8 - and now look...she's getting her wish.
Personally, I'm not sure I've ever come across something so likely to end in tears and I don't mean the good kind of tears where it's all fun until you put someone's eye out.

I wouldn't call that a good example. Tom's as crazier than Mike Tyson on LSD.

Not everyone is going to understand, thats part of life. Rationality, though, can lead to a corrupt mind, rather than having faith in the guidance one has recieved. God wants me to go through with this. I know he does. I was never obsessed with Kristin Holt, nor will I ever be. As it says on the webpage, there is much more to this. Of which hasn't revealed itself but so far, this is what I have been called to do. When the time comes, all will be revealed.

I think this young lad needs more help that this forum can provide... I pray he seeks professional help for this.

I knew If I threw the "Satan Taunts me" reference in there people would start freaking out. I appreciate the concern, but I only listen to God. Scott1, why do you want me to seek help? You would think a man of God would only encourage such an endeavor. Are you telling me not to listen to God?

I don't think it's God who's leading you, dear boy.... the evil one comes to you looking like a lamb.... you might want to rethink things... I'll be praying for ya.

My guess is that it isn't Satan, it's just common sense. Your inner wisdom telling you, "Yo, dude! Stop living in a fantasy world!"

Of course, there IS no Satan, ultimately. And blaming your problems on outside forces is not healthy. You have to own up to the responsibility you have for them or you won't be able to solve them. "What you do not hold, you cannot let go" applies to personal problems, too. Acceptance does not have to mean agreeing with it... it just means embracing - holding - that thing in your experience, accepting that you are responsible in whole or in part for it, and only then can you let go of it.

Also, by blaming Satan, you are showing that you have forgotten that "What you resist, persists."

Obsession is defined as " A compulsive, often unreasonable idea or emotion." And this definetely qualifies as an obsession, because frankly, the odds of you getting your wish are more against you than are the odds of Jerry Fallwell giving you a mansion full of gorgeous, naked women who live to serve you... it just ain't gonna happen in this universe.

Are you saying I have personal problems? Well, to tell you truth, I don't. I'm really just lonely and I found comfort in knowing I had a destiny in this. I wish I had the counsel of someone who understood this. I really don't know what to think to tell you the truth. I went on these forums to see if I was actually crazy for thinking that God was telling me to do this. Perhaps my intuition is misguided.

I don't think God would be so unreasonable as to suggest the impossible/highly improbable to you. I know it says that "Anything is possible with God," but they should have included in there "within reason, of course." Face it, dude, you're obsessed and possibly insane, and you're putting words in God's mouth to justify your insanity.

God never spoke to me, I just got a very strong feeling. I wish he had, because I would have actually had something to go on. I just wanted to be something. Be something important. Maybe my inpatience and my inability to let the future guide me has led to my downfall in this situation.
