Satan's Prison

Here is a plausible explanation for Satan and the universe. What do you think?

God's fallen angel Lucifer (the shining one or morning star) otherwise known as Satan, is serving a lifetime sentence.

Once there were twenty-five angels who willingly served God in one capacity or another. The crisis started when Satan attacked and began hurting the other angels. One time Satan was in the middle of a circle of angels striking at their feet. One of the angels went to God and complained.

"He is hurting us," the angel said.

Subsequently, God created the universe and tossed Satan inside.

Heaven is an endlessly bright crystal sea where angels live with God forever. In a way, Satan's new home, with enormous space, resembles heaven. Similarity however ends there. Whereas heaven is filled with God's light and eternal glory, the universe is dark forbidding space with fleeting specks of life (earth), and galaxies with dark holes spinning to the dance of death.

When in the universe, Satan, once a beautiful angel, became intensely dark. Immediately Satan began attacking the universe's outer boundaries, causing black ugly scares. Satan's ambition is to get back to heaven and cause havoc. Compared to heaven, Satan's time in the universe is short, probably many billion years.

Satan is extraordinarily intelligent; he can easily outwit human adversaries and do them great harm. Satan uses people to gain power to strike back at God and His angels. The earth is in the middle of Satan's kingdom. When God is in the world, Satan is there to oppose and destroy him. Satan uses world leaders, governments, and military strategies to gain power and dominion over the earth.

In the end, when the universe self-destructs, Satan will be gone.

Interesting story. Where does it come from?

I have no specific sources, just thoughts about the subject. For many years I've had strange dreams about God, Satan, and the Bible.

These are all mere stories. Is this the best God can do with wayward children??? God is more Intelligent than that. Why is it everyone goes for the story rather than trying to discover the real truth??? :thud:

I think it is an interesting story, but really not a plausible explanation for Satan. I don't think that anything in the OP is plausible.

It is more plausible that Lucifer is not Satan, given the idea of them as the same guy is kind of... only a few hundred years old at best.

However, this doesn't address why Lucifer/Satan (not the same guy historically but is in this story as well as many popular Theologies) started hurting other angels in the first place.

As for wanting to destroy Heaven, and take over the world? Quite honestly, I think that Satan already owns the Universe, and everything that exists, and that there is no Heaven nor Hell; just this plane and an "outer darkness" that is where the next plane will be created after this one decays away, leaving an empty shell.

As for if the story is correct? Tell me where to sign up, cause' I wanna burn down the Heavens, join the legions of Hell, and spread FIRE to Heaven, Satan wouldn't need to trick me, I would come willingly.

You say this is a plausible explanation, but all this provides is an very interesting story. What makes you think this is plausible in any way? Nothing in this story is supported by anything we know about, well, reality.

Seems another person falls into the trap of believing that Satan is the adversary of God, not man.

Also, the universe is infinitely expanding, therefore no explosion.

Also, the multiple people who believe Lucifer is Satan...

I like this, except for the last bit.

Satan is the opposition, he will never be gone. For there will always be a husk to fill the energies of existence.

Then in the end Lucifer who turned into Satan who happens to hate humans would celebrate by throwing you on the Barbecue pit.

It seems very unlikely that Satan would wipe out mankind when he could just rule over us... I would follow Satan to the death! Hail Satan! Hail Satan! If my Satan is teh Christian Satan I wouldn't care but I don't think he is... it seems unlikely a Christian evil Satan exists imho.

As long as the universe exists there will be Satan. Cosmologist suggest that as the universe expands it may ripe apart into oblivion, thus we have a collapsing universe. Your mirror image of Satan in the universe may have support. Assuming God is a duality, and nature reflects that duality (two wings of birds, two legs, two eyes, two ears, etc. and in science electrons and neutrons, valences, chemical reactions, etc.), Satan would attempt to duplicate that phenomena.

The primary difference is God is not threaten because He is eternal. Whereas, Satan's home, the universe, is a temporary abode. Scientist agree there is a time line to the universe. So, there must be an end. According to physical laws, matter and energy are not eternal.

I agree with most of this, I do enjoy reading up on the Big Crunch theory, where gravity catches up with the expanding universe, but the Big Freeze is also plausible.

Satan means adversary, or opposition, even if implied metaphorically or literally opposition could still potentially thrive in an unknown dimension or even in nonexistence.

I get the impression Satan for you is more of an idea or, if you will, a phenomenon (the adversary), than real. I believe Satan is real, he's the reason God created the universe. Mostly, his identity is attached to heavenly experiences. In heaven, Satan began to think himself as superior, even to the point of attacking other angels in a kind of sibling rivalry. When his attacks became destructive God intervened. So, we would have to have a dead body, ha, ha, or some kind of evidence to show Satan's demise.

You're trying to figure it out all on your own. Admirable but there are resources that can help you make sense of it all. I really think you should read the Urantia Book.

And then, when you're ready, tackle the Wingmakers material.

I do see him as an idea and phenomena as much as I believe in the reality of him. Though my sense of theism is based more off of symbology, instead of flying spaghetti monsters. Though I don't ever doubt the potential :D
