Bill Gates has all kinds of ideas to save the planet, along with the money to try implementing his plans. Only thing is his ideas are for you and me, likely not himself and those like him (https://nypost.com/2021/02/03/john-kerry-took-private-jet-to-iceland-for-climate-award/) who are saving us and the planet. We can eat fake meat, do you think he will? We can eat yogurt or sausage grown from fungus to save the planet, will he?

Ever the optimist, Bill Gates said he sees promise in the months and years ahead as he tweeted Wednesday at President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris that he is looking forward to working with the two of them on “some of our toughest challenges.”

So if the rich people preach and don't act and the poor people neither preach nor act, assuming of course climate science is true, which is worse?

IMO, not enough people are going to change how they act to affect climate change.
If he really wanted to do something useful, he ought to give money to the scientists working for a solution to climate change.

I want Republicans and Democrats to work together on it.

The author of the article "Tyler Durden" is the fictional character from Fight Club. The article is by a fictional character promoting material intended to help the least popular Kennedy to get his latest conspiracy theories heard. The man can't hold a candle to Bill Gates genuine efforts and is just trying to leach off some of his fame.

The name may be fictional, but the author is a real person.

I suppose it is a matter of opinion and perspective concerning Kennedy or Gates. There’s that worn out, but true
catchphrase “Follow the money”, so the question is who stands to profit more in money or power?
Kennedy has spent years fighting against the big guys for health and the environment, yet it appears he hasn’t gained too much except a lot of condemnation.
Bill Gates on the other hand, as well as being lifted up as an expert on technology, medicine, health, agriculture, transportation, global population and climate, and more, keeps investing millions and making trillions.

Do you have a credible source for this story?

ZeroHedge is a far- right libertarian propaganda outlet with a distinctly chequered history: Zero Hedge - Wikipedia

Who is lifting Gates up as being personally experts in those things? He is certainly hiring and listening to experts in those things, but that is subtly different to your claim.

The media, bought and paid for by Gates, exalts him.

If a person dosent lead by example, then that person is easily dismissed. Besides, who is going to willingly follow Bill Gates ideas anyways? Can't even produce a good quality product, much less produce a good meal.

Thanks, much better.

I read that. In fact, most of the things he mentions are already either in progress or have at least been identified as things that need attention. For instance I read in the Financial Times today about the work now in progress on substituting the coke used in blast furnaces for smelting iron ore into iron by hydrogen. Liquid sodium reactors are far from new technology. Some have been built in the past, though I gather there are issues with sodium being a potentially corrosive coolant. As for the reduction in consumption of meat from ruminants, that is also well known and being addressed even in my own household. And so on. Electric vehicles are here today, and every week the financial press reports announcements for automotive groups about their goals to become fully electric. GM last week Jaguar Land Rover this week.

So I don't see anything very shocking in what he says really, though he was of course trying to send a message in that interview about the scope of the changes that are coming.

Listening to my teenage son and his peers, who are the people who will have to steer these changes through and make them reality, he and they are absolutely up for it.

If you think all this is just pie in the sky, you are in for a rude awakening. It is happening already and it is going to accelerate.

That's a repeat of your claim, if it is widely done it shouldn't be hard to find an example of Gates being listed as an expert on Covid.
