Say Something Conciliatory to the “Other Side”

Democrats have iron discipline in sticking together. On the other hand, Republicans stick together like a herd of cats.

What? Right now they've locked arms around Trump, and any who would question him are labelled traitors and cast out. Example; Romney and McCain. After the latter died, there were political cartoons depicting him in hell for defying Trump.

What? Me worry?
To all those who tend to address my stand emotionally instead of factually, I wish you no animosity. As a matter of fact, if there is a water cooler in Hell I hope you're at the front of the line..

No, you changed and misrepresented my original post, I cannot help you if you insist on continuing these manifesto's of mistruth.

Are you saying that despite the evidence that trump is not extremely partisan, racist, and sexist?

Trump is an anomaly, counter to the history of the party, he will pass.

Mc Cain is a perfect example of what I mean. Obamacare was a target of the Republican party. All Republican senators wanted it eliminated.

Yet, on the vote where this could be done, Mc Cain, contrary to his oft repeated words, voted to retain it. Why? Because he didn't like the procedure of the vote.

A democrat would be excoriated and crushed for doing this. Mc Cain just kept on sailing along.

To the middle class members of the GOP: I get why you distrust D.C. And I get why you didn't like Hillary.

But the oligarchs are hurting us all, and we all need to band together and throw out any and all politicians who are in the pockets of the oligarchs.

I favor some gun control measures.....
- Secure storage requirements
- More training for owners, particularly concealed carriers.

Oh, & I'll bet that @Mr Spinkles is stunning in Daisy Dukes.
There...I said it....everyone has been thinking it.

I favor a single payer health care system (with a private option).
To everyone I've offended....you are poopyheads.
And for all my friends....you're poopyheads too.
See, this is the spirit. If you hadn’t posted this I would not have known it.

I don’t like having to pay taxes. I don’t think government bureaucracy is a good thing, it needs to be checked. And I am a capitalist, not a socialist. (I just don’t think public education, universal health insurance and things like parental leave constitute socialism.)

Unless I'm mistaken, you're not anti-LGBT or pro-life, as tends to be the norm for most conservatives in the U.S.

I post more than most here, so it's not surprising that I've advocated for
single payer here & there. My reason is that I believe we're heading in
that direction anyway...25 years...50 years....
So I've advocated for a libertarian version, ie, private health care wouldn't
be prohibited, allowing people to buy whatever services government won't
provide. Contrast this with Hillarycare (proposed back when Bill was Prez),
which would've made private care illegal.
