What message do you think that I think the song and video is sending?

The message is the exact opposite of the face-value of the lyrics. They are criticizing all of the examples in the song, and the fact that people seem to have no problem being small-minded, bigoted, and selfish, and they can walk over and kill other people, and destroy the earth because no one else matters but them.

Did you interpret it as glorifying these things simply because it uses the word "evolution", and you had a knee-jerk reaction to it?

No I got the same reaction to it I didn't think it glorified those things, it can be scary and true and the same time.
