That's why the uneducated flocked to him; they find him to be quite relatable in this regard. Had he not been born into a wealthy family, he would've been just another backwater yokel.
Without any doubt, absolutely.

Is there anyone who was unaware before
the election that Trump lacked a silver tongue?
But it wasn't clear that no matter what kind of tongue he had, he'd hardly be able to use it.

It's typical for public speakers to speak at about a 4th grade reading level for comprehension, those words are also used because they're the least likely to have ambiguous meanings. In fact, there is a definition for this called "The Hemingway Method" of writing, (Write Like Ernest Hemingway | WritersDigest.com) and even a good online tool to help you do it. Hemingway Editor

Secondly, Trump has a hearty Queens vernacular which says nothing of his actual intelligence or anything else. So, you're offended that he attempts to speak plainly in public and when he speaks on his own behalf uses his natural language? Hmm, sounds a bit 'eh... like linguistic prejudice... What would you think of our next President if he was a Creole from the depths of Louisiana carrying on with his twang? Would you think that person stupid just because they use a dialect of English mixed with French and other slang terms? What if they were born in a ghetto and kept most of that vernacular?

I just find such prejudice, as a whole revolting, and I find it even more revolting that the liberals who scream for tolerance cherish this despicable behavior.

Interesting observation about speaking traits....
It would explain why dour folk flocked to Hilda.
And stutterers favored Obama.
And profusely sweating types loved Nixon.

What's to like? Although it looks like he brushes his teeth. I guess I could like him for that.

Are you a socialist? I know the socialists hate him. I did great in life under capitalism. Doubt I would have done as well under socialism.

Not at all. I've been a strong Democrat almost all my life. And it isn't so much that I hate him as despise what he does.

We aren’t criticizing Trump for having an accent, for Heaven’s sake.

We are criticizing him for speaking like a third grader. Goddamn, the anti-intellectualism in this country makes me want to puke.

Lots more than just socialists hate him. Those who hate him also includes Republicans and Conservatives.
True. But I have always voted independent, as I don't see politics like a football game. Good players on both sides, IMO.

I also hate to hear whining and excuses when one side loses something. I have to watch 3 different news shows to even get a clear idea of what's being reported, due to so much bias.

I'm pretty sure you would criticize him for anything, lol.

I'm willing to forgive you for that though... It's hard to change.

Social workers are encouraged to speak at a 5th grade level. However, that does not include rambling, fillers and tags, incomprehensibly jumping around, or trying to pretend well known facts are things not many people know about.

I'm not troubled by his speech, because in the end it doesn't matter. He either does what he promises, or doesn't. In the end, that's all I care about. All this other stuff is completely irrelevant... :D

I find this amusing: The Top Cable News Programs Of January 2018 Were…

Fox News winning 7 out of the 10 ten slots in viewership in the last month. This is how much America is rejecting the leftist/globalist/elitist media.

Only Rachel Maddow really is presenting any competition at all...
Cable news is really representative of America as a whole. Depending on your age, your primary source may be online news, or a physical newspaper, or maybe cable news. Many a combination, of course, and it isn't exclusively old people who read newspapers, but the trends are definitely there.
