Scenario of a prophet

An interesting hypothetical Gnostic. Let me get this straight.
Angel appears to a Prophet with a cosmic paperback tucked under his wing. They go on tour and show the book to anyone who wants to see. What onlookers see, translates into their native tongue. Hmm. An authentic angel eh. Hmmm. A book with pretty fire font. Hmmm.

I have to admit, the angel would be somewhat impressive. Wings or none?
The book is another story. I guess my conversion would depend on what the book was saying. IF I did not like much what the story was, I may very well hold out for the inevitable sequel.
i think its already happening
And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, and he had everlasting good news to declare as glad tidings to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people, ............ revelation 14;6 and the angel is telling good news but do people want good news? or are they happy as they are

As I recalled about the Christian bible, John the Baptist was the last prophet. If what the Qur'an say is true, then God had changed his mind, in regarding to the Islam/Muhammad.

If God can change his mind on two occasions, then what stopping him bring more prophets, if the world is in dire needs?
I understand, but the Quran rejects much of the NT, because it has been altered by man, and thereby its authenticity is doubtful. So, from the Quranic perspective, God didn't change his mind, rather man changed His Word.

I don't see any single, moderate Muslim leader today, who is charismatic enough to call for all Muslims to reject the violent leanings. All the charismatic Muslim leaders tends to have very violent tendencies.
There are plenty of charismatic Muslim leaders calling for Muslims to reject the violence, but they're not dramatic enough to make Headline News, nor obnoxious enough to make Fox News.

The Lost One
If inconclusive proof existed that God appeared, I certainly would listen to what he had to say.
You mean "conclusive". Inconclusive is "leading to no definite result or conclusion".

Well, if you didn't get me sidetracked with Buddha and Buddhism, then I wouldn't be sidetracked.
It was not my intention to sidetrack you. You said that your problem with the Abrahamic faiths was that they could not be independently verified and I brought in Buddhism to support my contention that this "problem" is not restricted to the Abrahamic faiths.

To me, I see religions, particularly Christianity and Islam as a petty religions, fighting over whose religion is right. I simply don't care for "my religion is better than yours". I have a tendency to switch off, when either Muslisms or Christians act this way.
I don't care for "my religion is better than yours" either. But I believe it's unfair to criticize Christianity and Islam so generally.

First, all religions make claims of their own superiority to one degree or another. Indeed, if one didn't on some level believe that one's religion was "right" why would one follow that religion and not some other? Even those who espouse no religion tend to believe that their worldview is superior. I meet as many people trying to convince Christians that Christianity is wrong as I do Christians who are trying to convince non-Christians that Christianity is right. In fact, these days I'd say I meet more of the former. And from my perspective, this still falls under "my religion is better than yours" even if people in the former group do not call their views a "religion."

Second, neither Christianity nor Islam are monolithic. Within both you will find people who are quite open towards other faiths and of course you will find people who are not. I would agree with you that there tend to be a higher number of people who are "exclusivist" within Christianity and Islam. But honestly, I've met so many Christians and Muslims who are loving of all people and truly open to communication with other faiths that I just can't make such a generalization, out of respect to them. Nor can I let that generalization be made by others without arguing, as you can see.

why not examine what the Bible itself has to say about angels? This will help us get firm answers about questions such as: Are angels real? If so, have they ever intervened in man’s affairs? And, more importantly, can angels affect your life? i think they do and there are lots of them not just one
