I have no gripe , I just like exposing the real mission of those that influence the running of this forum. Why don’t you go a step further and announce babbling is allowed in the rules especially now that the link for the Bible has recently been done away with when the forum image was changed?

When I was in the army, a fellow conscript had psychosis and talked about his hallucinations during boot camp. They were strongly cultural: he claimed he saw djinns and that they were malevolent. His descriptions of what he saw matched Islamic narratives about demons.

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest to read that culture can color schizophrenic hallucinations.

Indeed, as obvious as it gets imo.

The hallucinations are produced by your own psyche, so obviously they will be molded by your own cultural background and environment.

If you take the patients from Ghana and transport them to the US, then the voice they hear don't "americanize".

They don't start matching the voices heared by american patients.

Plenty of people are christians and believe in the bible without being completely oblivious of the world around them, because they also value evidence and reason.

No I didn’t mean that. A spirit talking to someone, through voice hearing, can behave any way it has been instructed to, by God ultimately. But spirits, in general, can create culture. I have personal experience of the Holy Spirit talking to me and the Bible substantiates this evidence.

A little pill? Not according to all the voice hearers I listen too. Medication never got rid of them for me when I didn’t know what voices were along with over half the genuine voice hearers I read about. The demonically influenced push this little myth around.

The current medication prescribed (anti-psychotics) were found through trial and error. They have also been given to Alzheimer’s patients and are known in the industry as a chemical cosh. You can imagine the minority of voice hearers that say this medication helps are totally subdued and ‘zombified’ by these toxic meds.
